Since Audrey was back home, she’d insisted Viv take a few days off from Brewed. When her sister suggested it, she’d been excited about the break so she could devote all of her time to the Hometown Heroes event, but as she sat in front of her computer brainstorming on innovative and unique ways to raise money, she couldn’t focus on the task at hand.

Her mind had been hijacked by four simple words.

I don’t do casual.

She still couldn’t believe that the bikini hadn’t worked. Scratch that, it had worked. She’d seen the physical evidence of how much he’d appreciated it, but he hadn’t done anything about said appreciation.

I don’t do casual.

Those were the last words Glenn had spoken to her and that was forty-eight hours ago. Since then, the words kept playing over and over again in her head like a broken record. It didn’t make any sense. He was only going to be here for a few months. If not casual, what did he want?

I don’t do casual.

This entire situation was so confusing to Viv. The smartest play here would be to just walk away, move along, nothing to see here. She’d presented her case in its entirety from opening to closing statement and the jury was not out, he’d come back with a decisive verdict.

I don’t do casual.

But she would be lying to herself if she thought she was going to drop it. The attraction between herself and Glenn was just too damn strong. Plus, she’d decided to bend her rule for him. Why the hell couldn’t he bend a rule for her?

She knew it would be worth it. He’d made her feel without even touching her, while she was fully clothed, what every other man had failed to do while she was butt naked and they had full access to her body.

Determination sparked deep inside of her. She was going to convince him, or at least try to convince him, of the benefits of casual. She just didn’t know exactly how to do it…yet.

There was a knock at her door and her stomach dropped.

Was he here?

Maybe she wouldn’t have to convince him at all. Maybe he’d just needed time to remove his head from his ass and see the error of his ways.

Or maybe it’s not him at the door, hmm?Her inner Church Lady shifted her thoughts to a more realistic possibility.

Maybe it was Amy. She’d stopped by yesterday to give Viv a package that had accidentally been delivered to her door. She knew for sure it wasn’t one of her sisters. Audrey was at Brewed. Grace was out of town on business. And Ava had patients all day.

Despite knowing it may not be her sisters but it probably wasn’t him, her pulse sped up and a thrill of tingles raced down her spine as she walked to the door. Her head knew that Glenn wasn’t on her porch coming to tell her that he’d changed his mind about their situation, but it seemed her heart and hormones were not so convinced.

When she glanced out of the peephole, she saw that her head was right. It wasn’t Glenn. It was a woman that Viv had never seen before. A smokin’ hot woman with dark brown hair and bright green eyes.

She opened the door and smiled. “Hi.”

The woman smiled back. “Hi, is Glenn here?”

Viv felt the question hit her like a punch to her solar plexus. This hottie bo bottie was here for Glenn. It took her a second to recover from the hit, before she managed to say, “Um, he lives in the back.”

She started to close the door, not wanting the woman to see how the question had affected her.

“Oh, right!” The woman snapped her fingers as an expression of realization dawned over her perfect, pore-less face. “He told me that. You must be Vivien.”

Viv opened the door again curious as to what Glenn had said about her. Why would he tell a woman who he was seeing anything about her?

Before she could respond, the woman introduced herself.

“I’m Zoe, Bree’s mom.”

“Holy shit! You are gorgeous!” Viv hadn’t meant to blurt that out but the woman was a doppelganger of Ana de Armas, who was the epitome of the sexy, girl-next-door. She looked like she was walking around with a real-time, real life Instagram filter on her flawless skin, luminous eyes, and full lips…and she was Glenn’s ex and baby mama.

That did not bode well for Viv, or the rest of the female population. How in the hell could any woman follow what was standing in front of her? Viv didn’t often find herself intimidated by another woman. And that wasn’t exactly what she felt now but it was definitely close to it. But, as they say in the streets, game recognize game. This woman was a baddie with a capital B.
