I think you had this all planned, and I was the only clueless one.
Rolling over onto my side, I rested on my elbow so I could look down at Trisha. “That was…was…something I don’t know if they’ve created a word yet to describe such pleasure.”
She smiled up at me. “You were right.”
“About what?” I asked, not even sure I remember my own name right now.
“That you can do anything blindfolded.”
I leaned over and kissed her gently. “I like the blindfold idea. But I think it would look so much better on you. What do you say that we get dressed, go out, get something to eat, and when we get back, you wear it?”
“Do you really want to go out? I mean they have something called delivery. And if we plan it correctly, we can work off all those carbs tonight.”
“Then I say, let’s have pizza and dessert,” I said.
“Felt like we started with dessert,” she replied. “But I’m okay with having seconds.”
Even though I was almost sixty, my body reacted to her like I was in my twenties. “Sounds good. We can discuss it again in an hour.”
She nodded and cuddled up close to me.
It’s not the night I expected, but it sure as hell is the night I wanted.
