“What the fuck, Ry?” I questioned, pushing past him.
A group of people stood in the doorway. Most I didn’t recognize, but the two standing in front of the crowd were impossible to ignore.

The man took a step forward. With an arrogant set to his chin, he looked like an entitled dick. I wanted to punch the smile off his face.
How the hell did he even know where to find us?
“We’re looking for our daughter,” he said stoutly, indicating the woman next to him as if we had trouble understanding the “we”. He continued, ignoring the scowl I aimed his way, “We’re looking for Adelaide.”
