“I’m sure he knows all that.”
Wiping away her tears with the bottom of her shirt, briefly revealing her stomach, Mila suddenly giggled. “He told me in his letter that he hates you a little less.”
I smiled at her as I lifted her chin up to look at me.
“And you? Do you hate me a little less too?”
She smiled, her blue eyes sparkling at me. “I could never hate you. I tried. I really did. But I always end up thinking about—”
“About what?” I asked, my desire flickering to life as I caught her glancing at my lips.
“This,” she moaned as I dusted her lips with mine. She tasted amazing, of mint and fruit. I could feel her quickening breath against my skin.
“How I kiss you?” I said as heat curled down into my groin. She nodded, lust glittering in her half-shut eyes.
“How I—” I was about to run my hand down her belly and into her pants to see how wet she was for me, but I stopped. Sure, I was horny as hell, rock hard, and wanted be inside her. But there was one thing I wanted more than that.
Tell her.
I pulled away from our kiss, my eyes seeking hers as I cupped her face. Her expression turned to disappointment, which made me smile in satisfaction.

And as I looked deep into her eyes, no doubt in my mind that there would never be another woman for me but her, I couldn’t help but swallow down tears myself. I did it just in time before they would have made it to the surface. But to be here with her, hold her and kiss her again was more than I could’ve ever dreamed of.
“What is it?” she asked in that sweet voice I’d missed so much.
“I just needed to tell you one more time how much I love you. Now and always. No matter what.”
She kissed me, then smiled with the exact same smile she’d given me the first time I’d met her. That smile had bewitched me. It had changed my lonely heart and showed me true love.
“I love you too,” she said. “No matter what.” Then she lifted her brow with a naughty smirk on her face. “Come,” she said, leading me into the wooden cabin. “There’s something I want to show you.”
I trembled in anticipation. She’d said the exact same words when she’d seduced me in her apartment on her birthday.
“Baby, I can hardly wait.”
