CHAPTER SIX

Devlin shut off his computer. He cracked his neck from side to side as he stood from behind his desk at the back office in the Pink Flower. Just as he was about to open the door, Bondi opened it for him. “I think I just fucked up, man.”

“What did you do?” Devlin had a short fuse all day. He hadn’t slept for days. His talk with Kieran and Catriona about Teagan kept popping up in his head. His sister had a point that he’d been running as fast as he could from the innocent blonde with the wide, brown eyes.

“Gwenn’s here,” Bondi said.

Devlin walked out of his office, Bondi hot on his heels in the narrow hallway. “And that’s a problem. Why?”

It wasn’t like she hadn’t been here before. He asked Bondi, “Does Zeus know she’s here?”

Devlin wanted Zeus in the know. Not because he was the president of the club, but because everyone in the club knew he had a soft spot for Gwenn.

Bondi pointed at the VIP section on the other side of the ground floor, where they usually placed their brothers from the club. His eyes found Gwenn waving a bottle in the air, seemingly enjoying herself. Some chick with a sloppy veil stood on top of the stage while Gwenn and several other women cheered her on as she dragged a blonde with her up on stage.

The bouncy curls of the blonde reminded him of Teagan. He rubbed his eyes. Man, he had to get some sleep. It's gotten so bad, he even pictured Teagan’s face on some broad whom obviously mistook this night for amateur night.

The two blondes had moves though. His eyes zeroed in on the curves of the one that looked like Teagan. Her hips moved to the sensual rhythm of the music, drawing him closer to get a better look. He joined Wolf, who stared openmouthed at the mystery girl.

“Fuckin’ hell. Make sure that bitch ain’t leavin’ before she signed with us, Dev,” Wolf said.

Devlin heard his VP loud and clear. He agreed with Wolf. The way she climbed that pole, her strong thighs clamping the shiny titanium-gold… He swallowed his suddenly dry throat when she turned upside down, exposing a perky, tight ass.

Dragon, the club’s Sgt-at-Arms, bypassed the growing crowd in front of the VIP stage. After a minute of watching the blonde slowly gliding down the pole, he checked over his shoulder if anyone else witnessed her moves.

Dragon spotted Devlin and walked up to them. “Who the fuck is that tasty treat?” Dragon asked, while rearranging his junk behind his zipper.

“She’s a friend of Gwenn,” Bondi said.

That sobered Devlin right up. A friend of Gwenn, who could pass for Teagan? Shit. His legs ate the distance between them as he left his brothers standing. He was just in time to see her cheeks turn pink, just like that time they met at the farm.

“Hi, brother dearest! Are you—”

Devlin ignored his half sister, Gwenn. Normally, he would never. But this was an emergency. Teagan had just given every horny bastard in this club a sneak preview of her banging body. What the hell was she thinking getting up stage in an MC owned strip club?

She took the tiniest step backwards when he sprung up on stage, not bothering to take the small steps.

“Hi?” Teagan finally said when he kept staring her down with his dark gaze.

“You think this is all a joke? Shaking your ass in front of all these assholes? You have every man hard as a rock, picturing you sliding up and down their dicks.”

“Geez, we’re just havin’ some fun!” the blonde with the dirty veil said as she came up next to Teagan, handing her some heels.

“This your idea of fun?” Devlin asked her and narrowed his eyes.

The blonde cocked her hip and said, “As a matter of fact, it is. I’m getting married and—”

“Come with me,” he held out his hand for Teagan, not interested in a thing she had to say about her upcoming wedding. He couldn’t care less if some guy was okay with this shit she pulled. Devlin was not. And he wasn’t even marrying the girl.

“She’s not going anywhere with you,” Bridezilla said.

“Look. Teagan knows me. I’m Gwenn’s half brother. And I’ll let nothing happen to her. I swear.”

Bridezilla looked at Gwenn, who said, “It’s true, Errin. T. will be fine. I promise. Right, Dev?”

He couldn’t believe anyone willingly using a common, single letter for such a precious and mysterious creature that actually needed a new word to describe all the emotions she unleashed inside of him. Not just ‘T.’.

His innocent little Miss Sunshine in her tight bodice and flowy pink dress worked the pole like a pro. She’d slid down to a full split and had every single man gawking with his tongue out.
