“Last night was crazy,” Teagan said, and chuckled. “At least Errin got her wish. This was one bachelorette nobody is going to trump in a long time.”

They both snickered, knowing it was true. Errin had been sending picture after picture in their group chat, stating how lucky she was to have them all as friends and how she would never forget it. Luckily, she left out pictures of Teagan working the pole. Hooray for small miracles.

“Zeus called me this morning.”

Teagan had heard that name before. When she didn’t react as she picked her brain from where, Gwenn added, “He’s the president of the Iron Vikings.”

“Oh. Right.”

Teagan looked straight ahead, not willing to give away any of what happened between her and Devlin just hours ago in the field that they now passed. Heat flared on Teagan’s cheeks at the memory of her begging Devlin to help her orgasm. How she needed it.

The way he called her a good girl for pushing back onto his finger had been hot as hell. She tripped on a rock in the middle of the path and almost fell flat on her face.

It wasn’t the wake-up call she needed. The relief she’d felt last night after coming so hard had done nothing to quench her thirst. She couldn’t help but get all hot and bothered thinking about his demanding ways.

“You seem miles away, T. Did something happen last night between you and my half brother?”

She blurted, “No! Why? Has he said anything?”

Gwenn laughed. “Awesome. You’re so easy to read, Teagan Moore.”

Teagan sighed. “Maybe you’re just a good private investigator?”

Gwenn guffawed. “Yeah, it’s like pulling teeth with you. You must have been taking notes from your dad, the world famous spy.”

She rolled her eyes. “I’ll tell him you said that.”

Teagan slid her boot onto the lowest of four wooden boards that made for a fence in the fields. She hoisted herself over and smiled at Gwenn’s gracefulness as she jumped the fence like she was back in the military on an obstacle course.

“Okay. Since you’re not taking the bait, I’ll just tell you what Zeus asked me this morning.”

Fianna’s horse Stormchaser came up to his fence as he saw them approaching his piece of land. Teagan weaved her hands through his raven mane while Gwenn rubbed his neck. The regal animal wasn’t too fond of people, but Teagan could always come up to him without a worry.

“He’s calm around you,” Gwenn said, the astonishment clear in her voice. “It’s been years since I’ve rubbed his neck.”

“He’s amazing. Just a little misunderstood,” Teagan said.

That piqued Gwenn’s interest and for a moment it seemed like she’d wanted to say something but thought better of it.

“That’s right, eh, Stormy?” Teagan said as she listened to the soft, purring sounds coming from him. “So what, you’re a little wild? It’s just because you’d rather run free.”

“Speaking of running wild and free. We all saw my half brother dragging you out of the strip club last night. You’ve got another Stormy on your hands, T.”

Teagan knew Gwenn since forever and trusted that whatever she would discuss wouldn’t leave the two of them. Maybe it would even be wise to talk to Gwenn, since she obviously knew more about the MC and the Pink Flower.

“Are you a regular at the Pink Flower?”

Gwenn guffawed, and Stormchaser instantly walked away after startling them with his neighing.

Gwenn’s sky-blue eyes bore into her soul as she said, “I’ve hung out there a time or two. Want to go with me tomorrow?”

Teagan blushed. “Eh, I think I’ll pass.”

Gwenn ripped a long blade of grass from next to her combat boots and stuck it in between her lips. She continued to stare at Teagan, willing her to fill up the silence.

“Okay. Since you’ll probably won’t let it go… Last night, Devlin and I… we did stuff. It was amazing right until he told me he would end up hurting me and that he just needed to get me out of his system.”

“Ugh. Such a turnoff when a guy doesn’t go after what he obviously wants.”
