Releasing my hands, Gyth turned, grabbing the wheel with his left hand and starting the engine with his right. Just as he took off, he said, “Let’s go grab my other girl.”

“Hey, she’s my girl, get your own. Isn’t that what you always say to Kace?” I laughed out loud.

“Already got a girl,” he stated.

“Damn right you do.”

A huge smile broke across his face at my words.

I was just standing in the middle of my room staring at the mess of clothes everywhere when Alley walked in, running her mouth.

“Might want to grab some extra clothes just in case, then you won’t have to do the walk of shame like our girl Jurnee did that one time,” Alley stated.

What did she think I had been doing? It’s not like my room always looked like it had been ransacked. Gyth and I hadn’t talked about me staying over, but I wanted to, therefore being prepared was a good idea.

“That’s what I was doing, smartass, but I don’t want him to think I’m inviting myself when he sees me with a bag and we didn’t even talk about it.”

She laughed like I said something stupid. “Summer, I’m sure the man who has been nudging his way into your life for months now, isn’t going to care whose idea it was. He will just be happy to share his bed.”

Well shit, when she’d put it that way, I was sure she was right, but hearing it out loud made me more nervous.

“Hey,” Alley said. “I may tease you, I mean that’s what friends are for, but they are also around to tell you that you need to do what feels right for you. You only have one first time and you have waited a long time for that day. When it’s right you will know.”

She looked as though she was remembering something as she spoke and I hated ever seeing sadness cross her beautiful blue eyes, as I had then.

“Will you tell me about your first?” I asked her.

“Someday maybe.” That was all she would say. “Now let’s find you something sexy just in case. That’s if we can locate anything in this chaos.”

Ten minutes later, I finally grabbed some things, and Alley and I headed out to the front room. As I approached Gyth, his eyes went down to the bag in my hand.

Damnit, I knew he would zero in on it right away.

“Going on a trip, Sunshine?” Smirking, because the cocky shit knew what the bag was for and just had to tease, I pulled it back and whipped him with it.

“Shush it,” I told him. “Ash, let’s go, girl.” Heading past the big lug with a bit of attitude, he and Alley simultaneously let out a chuckle.

Ash followed, but as I got on the porch, door ajar, I could hear Alley talking to Gyth.

“You are the best thing for her right now and I know you care,” she told him. “But if you hurt her, I will make sure you never use your package again.Capisce?”

Alley was always protecting everyone and I loved her for it.Even if sometimes she is a little crazy about it, I thought, laughing at her choice of words.

As soon as I heard Gyth’s response I knew exactly how I wanted the evening to go.

“I would never hurt Summer in any way. I think I’d like to keep my so-called package intact. But seriously, she is lucky that you're her friend and I’m glad she has you watching out for her.”

Seconds later he was there with me. “Ready to go, babe?”

“I’m ready, but I forgot Ash’s stuff.”

Gyth smiled. “Don’t worry, I got it covered. Trust me.”

“I do,” I told him, returning the smile.

Roughly thirty minutes later, we pulled into the parking lot of the condos where Gyth lived.

They were very nice, gated for security, and had a great outdoor area with a community pool. I knew Kace lived here too and it seemed like the perfect place for them.
