“You are the best,” I said to him as I put Noelle in his arms. “I love you.”

“Love you back, baby.” Never one to miss a chance to kiss me, which I adored, my husband planted a good one on me before walking away.

A while later Summer, Jurnee and I, stood on one side of the room chatting and I glanced over at my husband holding Noelle. I was filled to the brim with love and a rush of warmth flowed through me. They made me happier than I could ever imagine and one day Noelle would know all about her sister Hannah, the other piece of my heart.

“Can you believe we are all married and have kids?” It was more of a statement but came out as a question. It was crazy to believe that in just a few years, this was our lives now, instead of it always just being us three against the world. Now we had Gemma, Braxton, Gyth, Landon, and Kace with us all the time. And since the guys were going to hire more people, who knew, there may be even more additions to the clan coming soon.

“Would you have it any other way?” Summer asked.

“No,” Jurnee and I said in unison.

That was the truth. We always had each other but our lives were even fuller now.

“We just need to find Gemma a man,” I told them as she walked up to the group to join in.

“I don’t need a man. I am too busy,” she stated with a dramatic roll of her eyes, as she shook her head no. “Find yourselves another matchmaking project.”

Just as the words were out of Gemma’s mouth, the bell over the door jingled and a woman walked in. She was soaking wet, and she wasn’t just here for herself by the looks of it. Everything came to a stop and all eyes turned her way, but it was the look on Kace’s face that truly caught my attention.

“I’m Teal,” the beautiful, desperate looking woman whispered. “ I really need help and a job.” Out of all the people in the room her gaze was on Kace’s when she said this, and his eyes were trained on her as well. They stared at one another, an intensity of huge proportions rolling off both of them in waves.

Kace sucked in a loud gulp of air and the woman’s eyes went wide.

“Oh my God,” I said softly, so only the girls could hear. “This shit that is going down is better than any romance novel I have ever written.” I was practically jumping at the bit to add a moment like this to one of my books.

“What are you talking about, crazy woman?” Summer asked.

“Are you blind? Just look at them,” Jurnee said, just as Summer’s eyes got big as if a light bulb just went off in her head.

“Oh heavens,” Gemma breathed.

“Things are about to get real interesting. I think we not only found Gemma’s replacement, but also found our next matchmaking project,” I said. A chorus of m’hm’s came from the girls before I added my last two cents.

“And I think Kace just found a whole lot more.”
