“It's still hard, but I know now I can’t hide from it. Doing that before cost me a lot.” I slipped my hand around the back of her neck and rested my forehead against hers. “Anything is possible with you, Buttercup. I see things differently now.”

She placed her lips against mine again and I slid my other hand around her back. I guided it down to her sweet ass and pulled her as close as I could get her. When she removed her warm lips from mine, the loss was immediate.

“I better get going,” she said softly. “Gyth is being very patient out there, but I don’t want the big bear to start growling.”

“One more for the road,” I begged.

It took a couple more minutes to extract ourselves from one another, but we finally managed. And then after calling out to Zander and saying one last goodbye she pulled the door open.

“About time,” Gyth said, tapping his watch.

“Brother, don’t make me shut the door and have you waiting again,” I joked. “Now take good care of my girl.”

Brin walked, then she and Gyth started down the hall. He yelled back over his shoulder.

“Like she was my own.”

“You sound like Kace,” I told him. That guy was always stirring the pot. “Don’t make me come kick your ass.”

“Many have tried and failed,” he said.

“You two are something else,” Brin told us, shaking her head.

Both Gyth and I said, “I know,” at the same time, and Brin rolled her eyes.

When she looked back, I mouthed,I love youand she mouthed it back, then blew me a kiss.

I’d hold on to that forever.

ChapterThirty-Two

BRINLEY

“Give us the deets girl,”Alley said.

I felt my cheeks heat as everyone let out a loud ‘whoop’ in agreement.

“This is the portion of the evening when we all spill our secrets and talk dirty. By the time we are done, we are either laughing, crying, or missing our men. Well, all three actually, but not necessarily in that order,” Alley added with a wink.

When Gyth and I first arrived, he indeed got his kiss from Summer. I was a little jealous as I was already craving another from Rowan. But as the evening went on I’d been having a blast.

We’d stuffed ourselves with some amazing Thai food, dessert from Capri’s, which seemed to be the place everyone loved, and superb wine. There had already been an abundance of laughter but I missed my guy something fierce, so I was worried the crying portion would sneak up on us. I decided to shoot for more laughter. They did say they wanted the deets.

Taking a deep breath I went for it. I wasn’t used to talking this way with anyone, except with Rowan. It was getting easier with all these women though. And it was a good thing Embry had retired to the bedroom and was fast asleep.

“The one-eyed monster is not a myth ladies. I found him and he is alive and well. And boy howdy, he sure does know how to rock my world.”

You could hear a pin drop, it was so quiet. Jurnee, Summer, Alley, Teal, and Gemma all stared at me and I thought I had botched the whole sharing at the sleepover part of the evening. But then all five of them roared with laughter at the same time and I joined them.

“Lady, I knew you had it in you!” Alley clapped, rubbing her hands together and giving me a cheeky smile before continuing. “Now tell us all about how your fine specimen of a man got you in the sack. And don’t take that wrong, all our men are hot. We’re not blind.” She gave a little shutter and corrected herself. “Well, I’m talking about everyone but my brother. That’s just gross.”

“Hey now,” Jurnee started. “Your brother is smoking hot and he—”

Alley threw up her hands and covered her ears. “Watch what you say anddon’teven go there.”

Jurnee giggled as Alley pulled her hands from the side of her head.

“That goes for you with Landon,” Summer said, pointing at Alley.
