I wiggle my eyebrows. “Are you sure? We have pancakes…”

“Damn,” she whispers. “I totally wasn’t hungry, but pancakes sound amazing. I could eat a whole stack.”

“A whole stack?” Tink asks from the end of the hall. “Are you eating for two? Or thirty? Fatso.” With a smirk and a sexy sheer gown that makes me feel like a pancake stuffing fatty, she walks forward and takes me in her arms. “Happy wedding day, babe. And you,” she releases me and turns to Iz. “I heard that vommy. Welcome to the party, baby Hart. Your aunties love you already.”

Izzy’s brows crinkle dramatically. “I love that you guys call yourselves aunties.”

“Well, we are.”

“Yeah, but,” she shrugs, “I don’t know. I never had sisters. I just had the guys, and now everything is changing. I have you two, and the baby. My brother’s getting married today and you’re not a bitch, and I get to wear a beautiful gown that I’m not too fat to fit into. Life kinda sucked the last couple weeks, but today’s a good day, and my baby said hello, and I really want pancakes.”

Tink laughs and rubs her hand over Iz’s belly. “That was a lot of happy for a chick who has vomit breath.”

Iz slaps a hand over her mouth. “OhmyGod.”

“I’ll start breakfast. You brush your teeth. I’ll make an entire stack just for you, and I promise, when you’re done eating, you’ll still have a six pack.”

“It’s not my fault I’ve worked out every day since I was younger than Evie.”

Tink shrugs. “I haven’t worked out once. Ever. I’m happy with my life choices.” She laughs. “Let’s go. We’ve got shit to do today, and if we’re late, Bobby will have a heart attack.”

“Oh God. He’s probably freaking out. It must’ve killed him not to call to check in.”

Iz snorts. “He’s been checking in, trust me. I have twelve unread texts on my phone right now, and if I don’t reply in the next ten minutes, he’ll be on a warpath.”

“Maybe you should wait for the warpath. He can come here and get me.”

“No.” Tink grabs my hand and drags me toward the stairs. “We have hair and makeup to do. Then a dress to tie on. Then lunch to nibble on. You’re not allowed to see him till two o’clock.”

“Too bad Tina was already booked out for today. She could’ve done our hair and makeup.”

Iz follows us downstairs with a toothbrush tightly clasped in her hand. “Right? I’d rather give her the money for hair and makeup, plus, then we get to hang out with that adorable baby doll for a couple hours.”

“We still get to see her for a minute,” Tink adds. “So we have to sneak the cuddles where we can, then we’re going to get you hitched.”

The morning flies by in a blur of perfume, hair brushes, and shoe choices.

An hour after we arrive back at my house with hair and makeup on point, we hear a meek tap at the door. “Knock, knock,” then a tiny, “Who’s der?” and a giggle from Evie.

I let out a squeak of excitement and jump up from my chair. Running to the door, I swing it open with a wide smile and get a look at the beautiful Coopers.

In an adorable white summer dress with a blue, red, and white ribbon in her hair, Evie sits on her mom’s hip and holds a single yellow daisy. “Fower for Kitty.” She thrusts it forward nervously and hides her face in Tina’s hair.

“Ooh Evelyn, you are the prettiest, most thoughtful little girl I ever met.” I accept the offering with a throbbing heart, and lean close. “Thank you, Evie. I love it.” I wait for her blue eyes to meet mine. “Do you wanna know a secret, Evie?”

She nods eagerly, but her mom’s brows crinkle. No secrets. Got it.

“Izzy and Tink are inside. Do you wanna show them your pretty dress?”

She nods and wiggles in Tina’s arms to be let down, so Tina bends forward and places the beauty on her tiny silver sandaled feet and pats her bottom. “Off you go. Don’t make a mess and don’t touch things that don’t belong to you.” We watch her run away, and then listen to the happy squeals. “She loves you girls, you know that?” Tina draws my gaze back to her. “She won’t stop talking about y’all.”

“She talks about us?”

“Sure. She doesn’t stop. I swear, I’m actually sick of hearing your name.”

I laugh and look Tina up and down the way I did her daughter. Just like Evie, she’s wearing a summer dress, but where Evie’s was white, Tina’s is navy blue. Light and floaty fabric, with tiny diamonds cut from the fabric to show off creamy skin around her ribs.

Heels add a couple extra inches to her five-seven frame, making her legs look amazing. She looks like she’s stepping straight out of a photoshoot for an upscale department store. “You look prettier than me on my wedding day.”
