I slowly round the curve and stop in my tracks at Bobby’s boyish smile. He leans forward to glance around his end of the curve, and when our eyes meet, he swallows visibly and bites his lip.

There he is.

I concentrate on not tripping, and scanning his body from top to toe, from his smiling chocolate eyes, the shaggy hair that he finger combed, to the ivory tie that matches my dress, I stop on his shoes and burst out laughing.

With tears in my eyes and emotion in my throat, I look down at my Chucks, my white pair to his black. If that isn’t a sign, a promise of a happy marriage, then I don’t know what is.

I want to take my time, I want to be elegant and act the lady, but fuck it. I grab my skirts and sprint forward. I don’t have to wonder if he’ll catch me. I don’t have to worry about being dropped. I trust him.

I sprint and launch myself into his arms, and wrapping my legs around his hips and my arms around his neck, I press my lips to his and ignore everyone behind me.

His strong hands squeeze my ass. His smiling lips take everything I offer, then they give everything back and spoil me with love.

“Kit…?” Tink whispers from somewhere behind me, but I tighten my hold around his neck and dig my fingers into his hair. I let my tongue play against his and my teeth nip at his lips.

“Reilly. Stop it.”

I squirm against him. I want to get higher, closer, more.

“Kit!” Tink slaps my ass so hard, I jump in Bobby’s arms and gasp.

“What?” I turn in his arms and shoot her a glare, but the tittering and giggles from my guests finally filters into my mind. Snapping my gaze back to Bobby’s, I scramble out of his arms with a wildly heated face and humiliating blush. “OhmyGod.”

Bobby doesn’t let me go. He allows me to slide down his body, and his wolfish grin turns up a few notches as my pelvis slides along his, but once my feet touch the ground, I bury my face in his chest and shake my head.

I can’t believe I just dry humped him in front of all these people. In front of Jack. Oh my God, in front of his mom!

Our celebrant clears his throat awkwardly and pats his belly. “If you’re quite ready, then?”

Kill. Me. Now.

I peek around Bobby and die a little more at Jon’s filthy smirk, then Aiden’s shaking head as he watches his shoes. Jimmy… I can’t even look at Jimmy. I skip right past him, reach Jack at the end, and almost blubber at how handsome and grown up he looks. He matches these other guys. He’s not an obvious implant, not an obvious much younger brother. He belongs.

“No escort?” Bobby brings my face back to his with a finger under my chin. “I can’t believe I worried. I should’ve known you’d do it on your own.”

“Well, it’s kind of who I am.”

He smirks and drops a kiss on the tip of my nose. “Strong and beautiful? Yeah, that’s you.”

“An escort would’ve just slowed me down. I don’t need that kinda negativity in my life.”

“I’m not complaining. Jon was literally holding my belt so I wouldn’t run to you.”

I laugh. “Really?”

“True story. It was cutting into my stomach.” He leans in close until his lips brush along my ear. “By the way; I loved my gift. We really need to talk about who you show your ass and underwear to. That’s for me only.”

“They’re all yours now. I’ll return your gloves when we get home.”

“Are you two quite done yet?” Tink snaps playfully and steals my bouquet. “I’m pretty sure we’re paying the celebrant by the hour.”

I bury my face and laugh against Bobby’s chest. “I’m ready.” My words are muffled by his handsome suit, but as I stand tall, I avoid Nelly’s eyes and nod at the celebrant. “Okay, let’s get started.”

Our three-hundred pound, probably seventy years old, Santa Claus lookalike celebrant clears his throat awkwardly and looks down to his notes. “Okay. I believe you’ve both written a few words you’d like to share. Robert, please, go ahead…”

I snort and mock his full name,“Robert.”

He smirks playfully and squeezes my hand. “Catherine…” Clearing his throat as his voice unexpectedly cracks, his playful eyes turn deadly serious. “Kit…” He lets out a deep breath. “I promise to love you forever, baby. I’ll spend every single day of the rest of our lives trying to earn you. I’m not worthy, but I’ll try every day, anyway.” With shining eyes, his strong hands shake and squeeze mine.
