I turned to Patrick.

“I got you, Wicked. We’ll take pizza. That’ll butter them up.”

“Until I eat it all by myself.”

He kissed my temple. “I’ll get you your own.”

“What are you all doing here?”

Trish’s hair was in a knot on top of her head. Her T-shirt was stained and she had a smudge of flour on her cheek. I refrained from pointing any of that out.

“You can’t skip Sunday dinner.”

“Unless you’re Marlow,” Patrick offered helpfully from behind me. “But we’ve established new rules, so she has to come now too.”

“Love.”

Trish melted a little when Blake reached for her.

“I know someone who will be very happy to see you.” She opened the door all the way. “He’s in his office,” she said as I stepped inside.

“We brought pizza.” I wanted to slap myself. How silly did that sound?

She grinned. “Why didn’t you say so sooner?”

“Bright Side, is someone at the door?” Andrew stopped short when he saw me. “Not in the mood for it.”

“Don’t care.”

His glare shifted from me to Patrick.

“I’ve got a child in my arms.” He held up Blake. “You can’t hit me.”

“You have a hell of a lot of nerve showing up here. I go to save your ass and you’re sleeping with my sister.”

“I don’t ever recall a discussion where we determined I couldn’t.”

“We shouldn’t have to.”

“Bro code.” Holt nudged Patrick in the back.

“Does it bother you?” Patrick asked.

“I really don’t want to think about it. But if she’s happy, I’m happy.” Holt edged past us. “Anyone except Marlow want a beer?”

“We’ve got wine too,” Trish volunteered.

“Rub it in my face that all of you can drink and I can’t.” I punched Holt in the arm.

“Be glad it was him that hit you instead of her,” he said to Patrick.

“Believe me, I am.” Ella shrieked from somewhere. Blake shouted in response. “Little dude, the princess knows you’ve arrived. You’ve been summoned.”

“I’ll take him.” Trish hoisted Blake on her hip. “Set up the pizza in the living room.”

“I’ll help with plates.” Baker darted to the kitchen, followed by Dad and Mrs. Quinn.

“I’m not talking to you.” Andrew folded his arms over his chest when only he, Patrick, and I remained.
