“Um…Key…” Kerem cut in.

“I’m just kidding! I would never say that to their parents!” I laughed. “I really do love this house, Baby! How did you keep all of this away from me?”

“It’s been hard sneaking around to get this done, but I want you to see the type of man you’re marrying. I will always make sure that you are taken care of. I will keep a roof over your head and food in your stomach. As long as I breathe, you will never have to work. You will work because you choose to. I promise you…”

We stayed in the house that first night and made love.

“Hey! I have Cam on the line too,” Robin said after I answered the phone.

“Hey, Key! Welcome back home!” Cam sang.

“I was only gone a weekend!” I laughed.

“I missed you, though. I missed my updates. You know I stopped watching soap operas cause your life is much more entertaining,” Cam laughed.

“Your most favorite flat iron!” I returned with my pseudo your momma jab.

“Don’t talk about my flat iron!” Cam responded.

We both laughed.

“Okay, I have you both on the phone because I have an announcement to make,” Robin said.

“Bitch are you pregnant again?” Cam asked.

“Oh my gawd, are you, Bird?” I chimed in.

“It’s probably a boy this time,” Cam added.

“I don’t know because some men can only create one gender. They have the two girls; it may be another girl…” I explained.

“It could be twins ‘cause…”

“BITCHES! I ain’t pregnant! Damn!” Robin huffed.

“Why the hell you let us have that whole conversation if you ain’t pregnant?” Cam sassed.

We all laughed.

“Anyway, can I make my announcement now?” Robin asked.

“Go ahead, drama queen,” I huffed.

“Yo momma,” Robin laughed.

“Ahhh bet. Imma tell her you said that too.”

“You bet not, Key. I love yo, momma.”

“Whatever, you shouldn…”

“Can you please tell us the announcement, geeze. I’m getting gray over here!” Cam said.

“Okay listen, get your lives together because we are going to see Lyrica in concert!” Robin screamed into the phone.

Lyrica was a pop icon. Everyone loved her music. I was a huge fan. I’d always wanted to go to one of her concerts since her very first one after she stopped singing background for her mom and started her own career, but the tickets always sold out before I could buy one.
