“Shut up!” Cam screamed.

“You lyin’!” I screamed.

“Nope, I got three tickets with backstage passes,” Robin said.

“Shut up!” Cam screamed again.

“That concert was sold out as soon as she announced it!”

“Not for us it wasn’t cause we gone be right on the front row and behind the stage,” Robin said.

“When is it?”

“It’s in two days, so you better get over to Averie’s house and raid her closet!” Robin laughed.

“I’m going to leave right from the shop and go to the boutique down the street to find me something to wear. My next boo might be there,” Cam said.

“Who, Morris?” I asked.

“Naw, I mean he could be my boo, but he has friend zoned me so hard it ain’t even funny. It’s almost like he pats me on my head!”

“Shut up, no, he doesn’t. Ain’t no man patting someone on the head with all that ass,” Robin laughed.

“Well Morris has, and that’s cool. We can be friends,” Cam said.

“I need to call Averie right now and see where she is. She moved into Samuel’s place close to downtown and put her condo on the market.”

“Yasss, lil sis! That’s what I’m talking about. I love those two together,” Robin said.

“I do too. They make each other happy mostly because they are so egotistical that they found a person just like them!”

We both laughed.

“They are two peas in a pod,” Robin added.

“Hopefully her stuff is out of boxes so I can find something cute to wear. Thank you, Bird. I needed this.”

“Oh, please, you’re welcome. Just get fly, leave all your home drama at home and let’s have some fun like we used to,” Robin said.

“Yes, let’s do it!”

“Take care of my heart.

Take care of my love.

Baby, it’s yours for the asking

Baby take care of my heart.”

Iyelled and sang the lyrics to one of Lyrica’s songs. I’d been playing all of her music in preparation for her concert. Since I was going to be on the front row, I needed to be on point with my singing.

I found a short black dress in Averie’s closet. I also grabbed her black Louboutin pumps to wear with it.

Cam couldn’t fit me in to tighten up my hair, so I took my weave out and decided to wear my natural hair. I sat for at least an hour after washing and drying my hair, flat ironing it, to get it straight. Then I added a few curls to give it a little body.

I applied my makeup and put on the reddest lipstick I had to go with the brown smokey eye I’d created. I was feeling myself.
