I pulled on the dress and then reached around to the back to pull up the zipper. I couldn’t reach it. I took my arms out of the dress, twisted it around and zipped the zipper up partway. Then I turned it back around and couldn’t get my arms back in. I tried a couple other tricks before I came to the conclusion that I couldn’t get it zipped. I knew I could fit it because I tried it on at Averie’s house.

I put on my shoes, grabbed my purse and lightweight jacket while dialing a number.

“Hey!” I said after Kerem answered the phone.

“Hey! Everything okay?” He asked.

“Yes, um…I need some help, are you home?” I asked while navigating around the corner to the rental property.

“Yes, what’s wr…”

“Open the door.”

I waited until I saw him come to the front door. I put my jacket on then got out of the car. The last thing I needed was for the neighbors to see my entire ass in this unzipped dress.

“Can I come in?” I asked before stepping over the threshold. I didn’t want to have to kill a bitch for being on my property.

“Of course,” he smiled showcasing those beautiful teeth and reminding me of that stunt he pulled when we were looking at the new property.

I was so hot and bothered after I left the building. I’d actually dialed Kerem’s number with the intentions of calling him over to finish what he started, then I chickened out.

He held the door open as I stepped in.

I hadn’t been in the house since he’d moved in. He hadn’t done any decorating. The only things I saw were some lawn chairs and a mounted TV. For some reason, that gave me a sense of relief. I don’t know how I would’ve handled seeing the whole place decorated.

“What’s up?” He asked.

“I know this is stupid, but I’ve been trying to get this done for fifteen minutes by myself and I can’t. I’m going to be late for the meet and greet before the Lyrica concert. Bird got tickets for us. Can you zip this dress for me?”

“Um yeah,” he chuckled. “Turn around.”

I removed my coat and turned around.

“You took your hair out?” he asked.

“Yeah, I took my tracks out yesterday and washed it. Cam couldn’t fit me in today because she is going to the concert with me so, I flat ironed it and curled it.”

“It’s beautiful. Can I touch it?” Kerem asked.

“Yes,” I said over my shoulder.

He started at the base of my neck and ran his fingers slowly through my hair.

I successfully suppressed the moan that his touch caused, but there was no way for me to stop the shiver that ran through my body.

Kerem and I had a magical chemistry that we’d had since we first started discovering each other’s bodies. He knew exactly what to do in every situation. We’d taught each other things, but he ruled my body and he knew it.

He took his fingers out of my hair and zipped my dress. I turned around to face him, but neither of us said anything. I wanted him to touch me again. I wanted him to kiss me and whisper all of the things in my ear that he’d said the other day at the building. He didn’t.

“Well,” I cleared my throat. “Thank you. I will talk to you later.”

“You’re welcome. Stop back by after the concert. I will unzip it for you,” he called behind me.

I rushed out of his house and down to my car. The longer I would’ve stayed in his presence the weaker my resolve would have become.

After finding a parking space on one of the upper levels of the parking garage, I rushed into the venue to meet Cam and Robin. It was still a couple hours before the concert was set to begin so people were trickling in. I found them as soon as the door attendant scanned my ticket.
