“He obviously reminded you of who he was, huh?”

“He did,” I smiled and nodded again.

She was spot on. Last night with Kerem was terrific…mind-blowing…just what I needed. I knew I’d missed him, but I didn’t realize how much until he ran his fingers through my hair. I shivered every time I thought about him touching me. I didn’t want to seem weak by asking him to make love to me, but when he started kissing my neck, I knew I wasn’t going to stop him. This morning was fantastic too. We were always good together.

“So, are you guys going to work it out?” Cam asked.

“I don’t know. He asked me if he could take me out on a date.”

“What did you say?”

“I said I would think about it.”

“What is there to think about? I'm not trying to be facetious, I’m asking a question,” Cam explained.

“He cheated, Cam. He doesn’t get to come back in after a night…and day of sex and some gifts.”

“Is that all that he’s done is blow your back out and send you some gifts? He hasn’t done anything else?”

“I’ve basically mentioned everything that he’s done.”

“Oh, ok,” Cam said then looked around like she was looking for something.

“What?”

“Huh? Nothing?”

“Cam if you don’t…”

“He got the tickets for the concert last night,” Cam admitted.

“What?” I looked at Cam through the mirror.

“Huh?” She responded.

“Don’t, huh, now. What did you say?”

“Okay, it was supposed to be a secret, but since it’s passed, yeah, Reem got those tickets for you. He didn’t want you to know because he didn’t want you to turn down the tickets and he wanted you to enjoy yourself without being worried about him and his motives.”

“How did he get the tickets?”

“I don’t know. He called in some favors is all he told Robin.”

“Are you serious?”

“Yep and he got those backstage passes so you could meet Lyrica.”

“Did Averie and Samuel have anything to do with that?”

“I don’t know,” Cam shrugged. “But, last night, was all Kerem.”

“I can’t believe he did that for me.”

“Why not? He loves you, Key. He’s working hard to fix things. I admire that about him.”

“I don’t want to just give him a pass after he’s messed up so bad.”

“Forgiveness is not a pass, Key. Forgiveness is a way to move forward and not get stuck. It doesn’t make you weak. It shows how strong you really are. Also, it doesn’t make you a door mat, nor does it make you forget what happened. You can forgive him but make him work to win you back again. Make him work for it, but enjoy his hard work. Let him take you out.”
