Page 16 of Tearing the Sky

She was mortified. “I panicked.”

“And this is why your impulsive actions lead you into injury. Of course, I am endeavouring not to injure you, so what can we do when you have just courted danger?”

He trailed his fingers over her ribs, and she twitched and tried to hold her breath. He reversed the direction, trailing lightly, and she let out a burst of tense giggles.

Yavor was fascinated, and he did it again. She was laughing, contorting, and then he expanded his exploration and torture to the other side, and she squirmed, trying to get away from him. Tears were in her eyes, and she gasped for breath when she got out of his grasp.

He looked at her with amusement that faded when he saw her distress. “There is pain?”

“No. Discomfort. The reflex is out of my control. Muscles clench, lungs fight for air, and the laughter sound is a side effect of the reaction.”

He cocked his head and nodded. “It’s a good punishment. Where else elicits this response?”

She looked at his serious expression, his wings sliding from side to side, rubbing against each other. “You aren’t joking.”

“I am not. It seems you have come to me with a built-in system for something you don’t enjoy but does not harm you, so I will use it. Where. Else.” He tapped her leg. “Your eyes have already indicated that your ribs are not the only spot.”

She mumbled. “The arches of my feet.”

He caressed her left foot, and the reflexive kick was obvious. “Anywhere else?”

“Thankfully, that is it.”

He nodded, and his eyes gleamed. “Now, I believe we were up to four. Let me refresh my memory on the first three.” He pinned her between his hands and kissed her, eliciting a soft moan.

She slid her fingers through the silk of his hair and felt his smirk as the kiss ended. His kiss to the left of her neck had her legs shifting, and her right side convinced her that sliding her legs was the thing to do now that they had been slicked.

He moved down to her breasts and licked carefully before he used a stronger move, and then he lifted his head before meeting her gaze and engulfing a third of her breast in his mouth, and he sucked strongly. Iris felt her soul try to leave her body and enter his mouth. Her body pulsed. Her thighs clenched, and she came. Yavor lifted his head and released her breast, looking down where she was still clenching around nothing. He looked at Iris, and his eyes glowed. “That is lovely. You taste so fresh and green.”

She blinked. “Green?”

“Your energy is green and blue, but you taste green. Mossy streams and still lakes in a quiet forest.” He stroked her right breast and said, “I wonder if this one tastes blue.”

He sucked hard once again, and she arched up toward him, and her sex took on aftershocks which had the deep pulsing continuing with every draw. Iris tried to focus, but she got a little bright and blurry.

He left her breast to her disappointed moan and moved down her body. He must have enjoyed salt because sweat was coating her. Catching her breath was hard when his tongue flicked into her navel, and then he settled between her thighs and went exploring.

Yavor investigated thoroughly, using his fingertips to hold her folds aside as he tasted, teased, and hung on as she gave him two more releases back to back.

He moved up her body and grinned. “Did I miss anywhere?”

She was sweaty and limp. “Nowhere you would normally be in contact with.”

He lay next to her and cuddled her. “Where?”

“Between the fingers and the toes. The toes are more sensitive because they are not out on their own. But, it’s pretty much a jump-start kit, which I am guessing is what you are after.”

“What is a jump start?”

“A rapid ramp to arousal.”

“Ah.”

She muttered, “Why do the Hmrain need companions?”

“We were given the need to have extra energy to become more than we originally were. We just had to find companions who could help us. It keeps us social and reduces the rampages on folks in the towns of our worlds.”

Iris nodded. “Right. So, it’s like low blood sugar. It is just better for everyone around if you keep things balanced.”
