She nodded and felt like a disgruntled toddler. He hugged her, and this position gave him the ability to grip her and hold her against his chest.

She relaxed against him while her body did whatever the hell it was supposed to do, and then he started to slide out of her.

When the first band withdrew, she looked at his smug expression as her opening flexed and contracted to let him go. Pleasure had shot through her as he pulled through, and it was unmistakable. It was different, but just one had her on the edge of sanity.

He withdrew another one, and she clutched at his chest and shuddered. She held her breath as her body fluttered and clutched at him. “How many were there again?”

“More than I told you, I got the last five in during your climax.”

She bit him. He laughed.

He pulled out three more bands, and she shrieked as she came again.

“Ah, my little fledgling is getting louder.” He was grinning as he licked her ear.

She muttered, “Shut up, feathers for brains.”

He withdrew in a rush, and she screamed, saw stars, and blacked out, dropping against him.

She heard the distant beep of a med scanner and then a relieved sigh before he curled her against him, and the soft warmth said that his wing was around her.

She hoped he got a cramp in that wing. Asshole. She hated surprises.

Chapter Seven

Iris sat in the tub, and she stretched and twisted. Yavor was sitting at his desk and watching. Every time she tried to get up, he looked up and tapped his finger on the wood. “The bath is medicinal, and you need to soak for at least an hour. It will help the changes, and it makes you a delightful pink colour.”

She flipped him off under the water. The biological lock on the wardrobe had caused her to freeze, and he explained that she was to get in the tub and not in a change of clothes because he had added nutrients to the bath that would help ease some of her soreness. What she also figured out was that it would help spread whatever kind of venom he had around her body. She had some blue markings moving around her neck, and the longer she soaked in the warm water, the faster the progression went.

“AmIdoneyet, amIdoneyet, amIdoneyet?” She patted the surface of the blue water. A knock on the door heralded breakfast, but surprisingly, it was Arluth that came in with food. She waved. “Morning.”

“Good morning, Lady Irith. You look... mated.” His shadows writhed around in amusement.

“Is that what happened? Huh.” She sighed and kicked her feet under the blue water.

“Irith. Stop sulking just because I didn’t warn you every step along the way.”

“No. And I am sulking because parts of me are turning blue, and you know very well which parts.” His cum was blue. Vivid blue, and now her sex was blue. The sheets looked like she banged a smurf.

He laughed. “I have never had a proper companion before. I didn’t know that it was going to happen.”

“But you have cum before. You know that it’s blue.”

He snorted. “I was by myself when I did that. I did not experience the dying effect.” He held up his blue hands.

She sighed. “Stop puncturing my irritation with logic. Can I come out now?”

“All the way down and all the way up.”

Iris sank under the water, and then she floated to the steps of the pool and walked out. Her skin was pale blue all over. “Delightful.”

He brought a towel to her. “It makes your eyes green.” He wrapped his arms and the towel around her and kissed her.

“Is it permanent?”

He stroked her neck and the new marks. “I love the new mark.”

“Love?”
