Don’t get me wrong, she’s not self-destructive or anything like that. Jaelyn just doesn’t always think of the consequences of her actions. We’ve all been there, but she doesn’t seem to be growing out of it. Hartley has been stressed about her going back to school and she doesn’t need the added worry. Not when she has Lash and Nash to think about now. Jaelyn is at school and doesn’t have anyone other than her professors to keep her in line. It’s not like any of her so-called friends do anything to help keep her out of trouble; they tend to follow her lead and not give a fuck about getting caught or hurt.

Yeah, I’ve ran backgrounds on every single person who is in Jae’s life. Especially Maggie. That girl is dumber than a box of fucking rocks and happily follows Jaelyn into whatever trouble they can find. I’ve also seen the reports of her getting into trouble with the law for petty crimes. Definitely shit our girl doesn’t need to be involved with.

Sitting at the bar after just coming back down from my shower, my phone vibrates in my pocket as I accept the bear from Austin.

“Said I’d be there in a little bit. Keep your pants on,” I say, laughter filling me as Death calls me.

We’re supposed to be hanging out at Jaded Outlaw until Sabotage is done with his work for the night. Then who knows what the hell we’ll do. Probably enjoy a show or two.

“Need you,” Sab’s voice fills the line. “Jae’s on my phone still. She needs us. At a party at school and I’m pretty fuckin’ sure she’s been drugged. We need to get the fuck there. Now!”

“Fuck!” I yell, punching the bar in front of me while sending my unopened beer flying toward the floor.

“I’m leavin’ Jaded Outlaw now. Meet up with me on the fuckin’ road,” he demands before hanging up.

Pulling out my keys, I race from the clubhouse and straddle my bike. Without bothering with my helmet or anything else, I start the engine and fly from the compound. My heart is pounding as I speed through town until I catch up with Sabotage just on the outskirts. Neither one of us is worried about doing the speed limit or any other bullshit as we race toward the college where Jaelyn is in desperate need of help.

Memories of a different time and place assault me as we push our bikes harder and faster to get to her before anything can be done. It might not be the same exact situation, but I couldn’t help someone I cared about before and I have a feeling it will be the same outcome this time too. Jaelyn is so sweet and innocent. Yeah, I want to dirty her and corrupt her but not with the use of drugs to make her want me. I want her to want Sab and me in the way we desire her. There’s a big difference in what I want and what’s currently being done to her.

The only thought I have, after pushing away the horrible ones playing on a loop in my mind, is getting to Jaelyn and making whoever did this to her fucking pay. No one deserves to be drugged and taken advantage of. Especially not her. It seems the fuckboys at school need to learn who has Jae’s back now. It won’t take the whole fucking club either. All they need to know is Sabotage and I will be here no matter what happens. One phone call or message is all it will ever take for her to have us for any reason. I don’t give a fuck if it’s something as innocent as her breaking down on the side of the road. One fucking call and I’m done doing whatever I’m in the middle of for her.
