When our glasses were full, Mr. Parker took the lead. “Are you sure you don’t want to go to law school instead of being a paralegal? We all think you’d be amazing, and an incredible addition to the firm someday.”

Holy shit. These guys were just full of endless surprises.

Or was it me who was full of endless surprises? I sure as hell had surprised myself over the past few weeks. And with these guys at my side, I was sure the best was yet to come.
