The night drew to a close when Gabby and Dane bowed out first, considering it was the middle of the week and they had to work the next day, as did Jaxson and Mia. They all parted ways. She and Brick decided to head upstairs to his apartment—their apartment now. How could she forget?—where he said he’d make her something to eat. She couldn’t wait to see what he surprised her with as he wouldn’t tell her when she asked.

Yet, as soon as they entered the room, they clung together like two magnets unable to keep apart. She jumped into his arms, fusing her mouth to his. He caught her with ease, tangling his lips with hers, walking toward the bed. They fell to the bed together, giggling between kisses. Clothes disappeared. Hands roamed. The heat in the room rose to an inferno. With a quick grab of a condom, he slid inside her and paused.

His hand brushed some of her hair to the side, then kissed the spot where her hair had lain. “You’re so damn beautiful.”

She wrapped her hands around his neck and pulled him closer for another soul-crushing kiss that melted her insides and made her heart sing with elation. “And you’re so damn perfect.”

Before he could argue with her, because she could feel the way he jerked at her words, she dove in with her tongue and arched her body, begging him to move.

He listened, grabbing her hips and starting to thrust. Deep and slow. Each thrust told her how much he wanted her, how much he cared. She could feel it in the tender way he held her, yet in the fervor of his thrusts.

Their lips broke apart as he sat up some, still holding her hips with a firm grip.

“Hold on, sweetheart.”

She could see in his eyes he was about to let loose a torrent of emotions he held inside all day long. She couldn’t wait to see him break free from it.

Wrapping her legs around him, she nodded, ready for whatever he was about to deliver.

His thrusts turned harder, deeper yet. She loved the way his gaze held hers as he did so. Sweat trickled down the side of his face. She met his eagerness with a fierceness of her own.

She had never been loved so thoroughly before. Taken so swiftly and with such abandon. He moved fast, thrust after thrust, filling her to the point she knew when she came it would be the most explosive one yet.

And then it hit. Her hands grabbed his arms and squeezed, moaning his name.

“Yes, baby, come for me.”

He kept on thrusting, deeper and deeper, until he hit the peak as well, stiffening, his face contorting in the most erotic pleasure she had ever seen.

He slowly released his hands from her thighs, lowering until she was cocooned in his embrace. A soft kiss hit her cheek.

“I’m far from perfect. But that, right there, was damn perfection.”

She wouldn’t argue with him. Because in her mind, he was perfect for her, and that’s all that mattered.

She swatted his ass, chuckling. “So, care to tell me what you’re making me yet?”

His lips shifted into the craftiest smile he’d ever bestowed upon her and he winked. “You haven’t convinced me enough to tell you yet.”

Oh, challenge accepted.

“Well, maybe a nice hot shower will help loosen your lips.”

She purposely licked her bottom lip, loving the way his eyes flashed with bliss.

“Maybe it will.”

She couldn’t wait. They raced to the bathroom together, her winning by a thread.

Laughter filled the room along with the steam and the heat they created once again.

Brick would haveto thank Dane and Jaxson again after the little talk they had. He didn’t confess too much about his day—nothing about his brother—but he mentioned his irritation about Bradley. They managed to calm him down and see some important things he overlooked.

Like the fact Jezebelle was wearing his ring. Not Bradley’s, even if the engagement wasn’t real.

If she wanted to date the man, she would’ve by now. He had no qualms that her mother had always intended for her to be with Bradley in the end, so therefore, Jezebelle had to know. Yet she never dated the guy.
