He knew Corey had ideas about increasing the income and bringing in new clientele. It was about damn time his brother start sharing those ideas and implementing them. He had missed his brother. Even the ribbing and teasing he could dish out.

“That sounds delicious. I want a panty ripper.” Gabby turned to Dane with a delectable smile.

“You want me to…” Dane looked like he had seen a ghost because the way Gabby had said it sounded like she wanted it right then and there. Brick would’ve been speechless, too, if Jezebelle had said something so bold in front of everyone.

“Go order me one, sweetheart.” Then Gabby leaned in and whispered something in his ear, making his eyes light up with pleasure.

Yeah, Brick could only imagine. If they disappeared, he’d have to track them down. He knew Jaxson and Mia had fun a few months ago in his storage room, but no one else was getting it on in his bar. They could all wait until they got to the privacy of their homes. Just like he had to.

“Come on, Mia can have one, too,” Dane said to Jaxson, clapping him on the back.

“Oh, I don’t need one.” Mia’s face flushed a bright red, then her eyes sparkled with desire as Jaxson made eye contact with her, winking.

The men left the table.

“Look at what you started, bro. Everyone’s panties are getting ripped later.” Corey chuckled.

“And what about you?” he shot back. His brother wanted to embarrass him, he could dish right back.

“Night’s still young.” By the shit-eating grin on Corey’s face said he’d already been scanning the bar for the perfect woman to pick up.

Brick dated here and there, but he wasn’t a ladies’ man like his brother was. He flew through women so fast, he was surprised his head didn’t spin right off. At least from what he remembered. Corey could’ve changed in the last three years.

“I’m excited.” Gabby’s giggles with Mia and Jezebelle were hard to interpret. She was excited about tasting the drink or about—yeah, Brick didn’t want to think about her and Mia in any sexual capacity. So he erased her words from his mind and focused on Jezebelle and the happiness glimmering in her eyes and the wide smile on her lips.

Then it disappeared in a flash. Her sharp intake of breath gutted him.

His head whipped in the same direction as hers, landing on the last person he wanted to see.

Bradley.

The audacity of the man to step foot in his bar again. Looked like Mrs. Edwards went running to her little puppy as soon as she left. What did these two think was going to happen? Bradley would say a few pretty words and Jezebelle would up and divorce him and run into his arms. Ha! It was so laughable he almost started laughing right in the moment.

Instead, he stood up.

“What do you want?”

Bradley eyed him for a moment and then looked at Jezebelle. “May I have a word with you, please?”

“No, you may not.”

Bradley’s gaze snapped to his. “I wasn’t speaking to you.”

“You have nothing Jezebelle wants to hear.”

“You don’t know that.”

He crossed his arms, and hell, he even puffed his chest out some. This bastard wasn’t walking into his bar and trying to steal his woman without a fight. He’d physically remove him if he had to.

“I know you make her uncomfortable. As you probably know, this is our wedding night, and I won’t have you ruining it.”

Jezebelle stood up and slid her hand into his. He wanted to pull her into his arms and kiss her breathless for that huge sign of support. If Bradley didn’t see whose side she was on, then he was a blind idiot.

“Please leave, Bradley. I don’t know what my mother told you, but I don’t wish to talk to you right now.”

Brick gritted his teeth. Right now? How about never? Yet he kept quiet at her choice of words.

“I can’t believe you married him. Do you know how that made your mother feel? You didn’t tell anyone. You have no idea what you did.”
