A smirk appeared. “Technically, you said ‘got that’ the first time, not ‘got it.’ But yes, I do.”

“Semantics.” Then he was moving in and out of her again, slower this time. Savoring the moment between them instead of pounding into her how he felt about her. Had she understood his message? Did she feel how much he loved her?

Should he simply say the words?

“We should…we should…”

His lips found her neck again, his tongue darting up until he hit her ear. “Yes, baby, we should what? Tell me.”

Her breathing came in shallow gasps as he loved her one more time against the door. “We should take this to my bedroom.”

“When we’re having so much fun here.” His tongue ran down her neck to her shoulder where he lightly took a nip.

Her head banged against the door as she moaned.

Loudly.

Loud enough anyone in the hallway would hear.

Just as they heard the door shut a few doors down and footsteps head their way.

He stilled. She pressed her lips together as if trying to suppress laughter. He matched her look.

As soon as the footsteps disappeared and no noise could be heard, they let the laughter out.

“Yeah, okay, we should take it to the bedroom.”

She nodded, giggling.

“Or…” He swiped a kiss as a crazy idea flew through his mind. “We find a new apartment and move in together. One with better insulated walls and two bedrooms. One for us, one for Amelie.”

Her eyes widened, her body stiffening. “What?”

“Let’s take this to the next level. Move in together.”

“What level are we even on now?”

“The one where I couldn’t take it if I lost you. What do you say?”

She jumped, throwing a hand to her heart. Then she giggled and rolled her eyes.

“Seriously, Donna, you shouldn’t walk up on people like that.”

“Girl, I called your name when I entered the room and you didn’t hear me. That sweet angel did.”

They turned to see Amelie crawling around the floor, getting into everything she possibly could. Genevieve had started to take her to work a few times and she knew she couldn’t keep doing that as Amelie was getting spry on her feet. The little stinker would be walking soon and then she’d never be able to catch up with her.

But she was down an instructor and having a hard time covering one of her classes.

Which made the idea of a daycare at her yoga place a wonderful idea. The building next to her was up for rent. The coffee shop that had been there didn’t do so well and shut down last month. No one had picked up the lease yet. She could. She could offer daycare services while mothers—or fathers—came in to take their classes and not worry about finding childcare.

Because, let’s face it, it wasn’t always easy to find a babysitter. And Corey was lucky he had family in town that could help out in a pinch. Not everyone had that. Some were alone, raising their kids by themselves. Struggling to get time to themselves.

Yep. It was a fabulous idea.

One she wasn’t sure she could enact. She had far worse problems to deal with at the moment.
