"This may sound rude, but you don't look like security," I reasoned.

"I'm good, sir," he reasoned and bowed his head in respect. "Don't judge the body. The engine is brand new and fit."

"Do you follow instructions well?"

"Y-Yes, Sir!"

"Okay." I smiled. "Play dead."

"What?"

"Play dead," I repeated a second time. Viktor was actually grinning while a confused Garfield was staring at me with wide eyes. "Um..." he tried to begin, but I pulled the top drawer open, retrieved my gun, spun it along my finger, and clicked off the safety in three seconds.

I pointed it at him a second later and he dropped down to the floor just as the doors flung open and a man in black charged at me. All it took was three shots and a trip over Garfield's body for him to be down for the count and six men rushed into the room with guns out while I spun mine on my finger again.

Garfield lifted his head up, his wide eyes lifting up to see the cloaked man bleeding out on the floor. Approaching footsteps revealed Jayce at the door, who glanced around until his golden eyes locked with my calm ones. His wolf seemed to be in control for a moment before those orbs returned to their blue appearance.

I leaned further into my chair before lifting my legs so they rested on the desk.

"Rule number one, Garfield," I announced and grasped everyone's attention. "If I tell you to play dead, you play fucking dead. Or else you'll find yourself filled with bullets."

With a smile, I lowered my legs and rose up before retrieving my stuff and heading towards the door. "Find out who sent him and tell Roberto I'm not coming in tomorrow."

"Yes, sir!" they declared as I reached Jayce's side. "Tell Dimitris the next time he's going to send me a bodyguard, they better be actually trained to protect my ass and not encourage my murder."

That was all I said as I walked right out, knowing he was going to follow me anyways with Viktor.

"J-Jayce. I didn't mean-"

"We'll switch you out with Marco. We can't play around with this, Garfield. Remember that," Jayce snapped. "Or you'll find yourself back on the streets of Cali, understood?"

"Yes, sir."

"Good. Clean this shit up. His office better be sparkling clean by the time Dimitris gets here, which is in ten minutes."

"Yes, sir!" multiple voices declared.

He was back by my side when the elevator arrived. I leaned against the elevator and pinched my nose again, feeling hotter than normal.

"What's wrong with you?" Jayce inquired. "You're hotter than usual."

"I'm pleased that my male attraction track record is still undefeated," I muttered, which I was sure made him glower, but I was too tired to care.

"We're canceling the ring tonight," Viktor muttered, which forced me to open my eyes to glare at him.

"How about no," I huffed as the doors opened and we walked out towards the second set of elevators.

"You're not well, William." He kept his voice dangerously low and I noticed the group of women waiting for me near the elevators.

I also noticed Neo, standing there with his shades and his red hair up in a ponytail. He looked so casual and yet sleek that I was sure everyone believed he was security. Deciding to acknowledge him first, I walked over to him and he smirked when I was standing before him.

"Tired?"

"Exhausted," I huffed. "Why are you here?"

"Security," he explained with a smirk that made me roll my eyes and chuckle.

"Security my ass." There was this weird calmness when I was around him, even in this male persona of mine. We unexpectedly fist-bumped before I turned my attention to the nervous female worker who presented a bouquet of flowers.
