He grunted as he hit the ground with my added weight, but I didn't slam onto my back. I caught myself on my feet and I was up and in my corner. The crowd was going wild as the man got up and he raced at me with rage.

The orange energy reminded me of a racing tiger, one that was fighting hard to destroy his prey, but my energy of purple and pink reminded me of a wolf, one that observed from the shadows until it was ready to strike.

My patience was gone as I avoided his attack, only to jump, push off the metal strings that cut through the flesh of my leg, and I kicked the man right in the face, blood smearing along his flesh.

He didn't go down, but I didn't expect him to as I suddenly spun and sliced him with swift movements that left him bewildered. I shot both my hands out, which sent him flying like winds had rushed out of my palms and shot him across the ring.

The gasps and shrilling cheers of excitement made me crack my neck again as the feel of charging magic danced around my hands. I caught onto the announcer I normally muted in my mind as he declared, "Holy fuck! Looks like our Champion has a few magical tricks up her sleeves!"

My opponent was up and the sound of him spitting was followed with a low growl. "I guess if all bets are off, that means I don't need to fight in this form."

He charged at me at full speed, and suddenly bones cracked while he leapt through the air and shifted.

The energy was fucking mesmerizing, almost putting me in a trance as I watched the orange outlines shift from human to a wolf silhouette that had his large mouth and sharp teeth bared at me.

Seeing the pulsing energy of his wolf suddenly triggered something unexpected, a rippling beat of instinctive rage that reminded me of my failures.

Reminds me that I lack.

The wolf crashed into me, but only because I allowed it. He bared his teeth at me, fighting to bite my head off, and I muted the worried shouts of those watching. Ya, shifting is a no-no illegal move, but in the ring here and now, all bets were off.

All..bets...are...off.

The foreign voice pushed me to move, and I was suddenly growling and kicking the wolf off like he didn't weigh triple my weight. He slipped himself into the dark environment, the landing splashing color through the room, and I sensed someone watching, which caught my attention.

Someone with a glorifying pink aura with hues of navy blue.

It reminded of Dimitris, and knowing he was watching suddenly made me mad. The Alpha of the pack who would judge everything I did here and now.

So much anger. So much pain. The heat around me and thrumming through me was far too much, and the mangled cheers of my surroundings irritated every part of me.

I moved onto all fours as I tried to recover from the tackle, and there was my opponent, racing towards me to finish the deed once and for all. My teeth gritted together and suddenly with a blink, I charged at him on all fours before I tackled him with so much force he skidded across the ring with me on top of him.

The screaming growls of mangled rage echoed around me as my fists moved blindly and blood splattered everywhere. I expected to see blades in my wrists that were crunching through skin and bone but it was merely my clenched fists that were doing far too much damage in a short period of time.

I should have stopped -I knew I should stop -but I was done being belittled. Done being tested by these prick mother fuckers who dared to think they owned me because that sick bastard sold me.

How dare they! HOW FUCKING DARE THEY?!

I let the wild beast out, punching and beating the shit out of this wolf until he was literally whimpering for mercy. It made me laugh as I rose up, only to begin kicking him back down when he tried to get up.

"Get up, bastard!" I snarled in rage, my body as light as a feather as I paced around him like a mad man. "Where's your pride? Where's that cocky shit of a fighter who can't play fair, huh?!"

I laughed and kicked him again when he tried to get up. My arms were cloaked with blood, and the silence in the room gave me so much fucking fuel.

The silencethat acknowledged my strength.

I stopped at his head and without thinking, I stabbed the beast’s eye with a conjured blade, leaving him screaming in agony.

"Oh, did that hurt?" I inquired as I pulled the blade out and rose up to kick him onto his other side. "Wanna know how it feels to be disabled?"

The way I asked it made him whimper wildly, and I chuckled before I crouched down. I could see the wild movement of the remaining eyeball that was wrapped around orange threads of neon light.

Pulsating movement of rapid blinking and tears that pooled in his eyes.

I was ready to tell him to not mess with the De Lucas, but I held my tongue because that wasn’t my identity anymore. My smile widened so big, I must’ve looked like a real crazy bitch as I lifted my hand up with the charged-up blade that sparked in my shaky hand.

"Take this back to those Russian fuckers," I declared with confidence. "Don't mess with the Forbidden Pack or be prepared to reap what you sow."
