My soul beggged for it.

Our kisses were short, but there was emotion there. I may not have been in the position to give her exactly what her body needed and deserved in this state of heat, but these kisses seemed to be enough to tame her as she submitted to the movement of my lips.

When she seemed satisfied, she broke the kiss and I didn't miss a beat as I began to work on washing her body now that her hair was taken care of. It was as though we didn't just makeout seconds earlier, and her silent disregard of the matter left me pleased because it meant there’d come a time when we’d be willing to acknowledge that and another obvious factor thrumming between us.

Recognize how similar we are to one another.

When I finished, I noticed the fresh white towel hanging on the hook. Neo had clearly been the culprit, but I decided to thank him later. My focus was on Willow as I dried her and then lifted her up to make the trek back to the lockers.

The shattered glass was already cleaned up while fresh clothes were neatly laid upon the bench. Neo was leaning against the locker opposite of the single pink one. I lowered Willow down and ordered her to put her clothes on with a simple look.

I could see the debate in her mind as if she were assessing if she was able to, but she nodded and walked a few steps before she was doing her own routine.

What a strong woman...

It must have taken her double her usual time to dress, but she did it all on her own before she tried to rub at her eyes. Neo stopped her.

"Sit. I'll fix it," he offered. She looked at him as if trying to see any pity in his blind eyes, but there was nothing there that reflected such. The slight tension in her shoulders seemed to relax then, and she sat and waited for Neo to work his magic.

I stood to the side as he placed his hands over her eyes and began to concentrate. I was impressed that she hadn't lost her vision from the attack, and had still managed to open them when they surely stung.

Whatever Neo did seemed to relax her further. His hands glowed slightly as tattoos began to emerge along the flesh of his fingers and backs of his hands. It didn't take much longer after that for him to move his hands to see the end result, but I moved in a blur in time to place my hands on Willow's shoulders, realizing she was fast asleep.

"Looks like that was enough to knock her out," Neo calmly replied as he eyed her carefully. "She's drained."

"Do you blame her?" I sigh. "Thanks for cleaning up."

"You okay?" I knew what he was referring to, and all I did was nod as he closed Willow's locker and proceeded to scoop her off the bench.

"I can carry her," I reasoned.

"Give yourself a moment to relax," he suggested. "I'd rather deal with one close call instead of two."

He had a point there. My flashbacks could easily trigger my own problems, which became the pack's problems if I wasn't careful. We decided to leave the rest for Onyx, knowing he'd come and inspect the spot with Dimitris. As if there would be any clues of tampering from anyone else working with the Russian packs.

"Where are the others?" I asked as we headed out to the secret exit where we were hoping Viktor was waiting.

"They're securing that cheating bastard to the private location," Neo announced, which made me smirk.

"You're going to have fun tonight, huh?"

"After watching that magnificent show of craftsmanship and grace, it's a wonderful evening to paint, don't you think?" he tossed at me, knowing I wouldn't be missing out on what was about to unfold.

"Agreed," I replied as we headed right out, but I quickly pulled the gun at Neo's waist and pointed it at the person who now had his own gun against Neo's temple.

It took me a second to realize it was Viktor, which allowed him the time to aim a second gun at my stomach.

"Really?" I asked in actual annoyance, but Viktor was serious, his glaring eyes on Willow.

"She's fine," Neo spoke as if there weren't a gun at his head. "She was awake throughout the shower and changed on her own accord. She only fell asleep out of exhaustion when I mended her eyes."

Viktor stared at Neo for an extra few seconds before he pulled back and slipped his guns back into his holsters. I sighed while Neo muttered, "Do that again and I'll blow your brains out and paint it on a mural."

That made me look over at Viktor, who took his threat with a grain of acknowledgment before he moved to the back door of the tinted, dark purple Escalade. "Put her in the back. I'll take her home. I'm sure you’ve got plans. Tell Onyx to come over when you're through."

"Cool," Neo replied and easily slid Willow into the seat. He buckled her up before further leaning the chair back so she didn't hurt her neck. "If her eyes trouble her, let me know."

"Fine," he replied and paused as he was about to get into the car. "Make that fucker pay until he begs for death."
