"No matter male or female...you flourish the best when you're happy. Fierce. Ready to tackle the world even with the dangers that lie at every turn. Don’t lose yourself because you're not at the same level as the rest of your peers."

He looked away to stare at the door. "Late bloomers aren't slow or weak. The strongest wolf shifters, magicians, and even fae were individuals who obtained their unique gifts later in life and jolted into their given role. Don’t lose hope so soon, and no matter what the future holds, we're a pack now."

He grabbed the handle as he whispered, "The Forbidden never leave their own. No matter the circumstances. Remember that."

He opened the door and muttered something to Garfield about giving me five minutes to prepare for a meeting.

The man even knew my damn schedule. I chuckled as I shook my head, tears rolling down my cheeks.

"Who would have thought these fuckers would actually have some kindness in them," I whispered and let my tears fall. I couldn’t remember the last time I'd cried as a male, but the tears wouldn't stop until all the sadness was drained from my pained heart.

The five-minute timelimit was the perfect amount of time to shed my tears, pat dry my tear-streaked cheeks, and take a few breaths to rein myself back to who I was.

I'm William De Luca. Powerful. Respected. A man with enough knowledge and skill to bring a company down around my feet if need be. In this form, I have no flaws. This is the world of human business. No need to focus on anything else.

I nodded to myself and looked down at the red silk handkerchief. "I better return this the next time I see him.” I tucked it safely into my jacket then began to prepare for my next meeting when there was a knock at the door.

"Enter," I announced, assuming Garfield had something stupid to ask me. He opened the door the next second, but the sound of heels was what drew my attention enough for me to lift my head and see a woman strolling right into my office.

One look at her made me frown, her tanned skin and dirty pink strands with dulled out orange highlights tugging at my memory strings.

Viktor warned me about someone like this. Hispanic. Short. Annoying as fuck...or was it dangerous as fuck? Hmm.

"Excuse me, ma'am! I didn't give confirmation for you to waltz right i-"

"Silence, peasant!" she snapped and pointed a finger at him. "A weak wimp like you should remain silent when no one is talking to you!"

Welp. I could already tell I ain't going to like this bitch.

"Can I help you?" My voice was as cold as my emotionless expression as I leaned back into my chair and looked over to Garfield. "Make sure no one else enters without being announced."

"Yes, sir!" Garfield bowed in apology. "I'm sorry!"

Seeing as Neo was able to enter without Garfield warning me accordingly, I'd have to make sure he wasn't on my office duty when Viktor wasn't present.

The 5'3" woman flicked her messy curls and fixed her strapless dress, which was practically bursting at the seams. In my male form, I had my preference for attractive woman -as odd as that may have been perceived as -and curvy women were my type, but the provocative attire looked like she was doing the walk of shame after an all-nighter party that ended with morning sex and her rushing out to come over here.

I caught onto the slight wolf scent that clung her skin, which told me she was a wolf shifter for sure, but everything about her annoyed me, which was a little difficult to accept.

"My name is Elizabeth Orlando Bloom," she announced, and I was unsure if I could actually take her seriously. It had to show on my face because she began to blush and added, "YES! That's my real name! I have it on my damn birth certificate."

"I pity you." My blunt reply was more from the female side than my male, but it was out there and sounded judgemental as fuck with my deep voice.

"I have no issues with my name!" she huffed in anger.

"Right," I replied and shut down my computer before I began cleaning up my desk. "Why are you here? I have somewhere to be."

Rising up, I picked up my cardholder and other valuables, which made her nervously waddle closer to the desk.

"I'm here to let you know I had a meeting with Roberto De Luca and he advised me to inform you of my interest in running for the executive female position for the new organization deal that's just opened up."

I closed the top drawer of my desk, setting the lock function and beginning to slide my valuables into my pocket before rising to my full height to look at her.

"So why is that my business?" I inquired. She seemed flabbergasted by my response and I sighed and slipped my hands into my pockets as I walked around my desk so I was facing her directly.

Our height difference was so obvious that I was smirking mockingly at her, and she knew it.

"Last time I went to the washroom, I confirmed I was indeed a male and not a female," I acknowledged, which made her whole face turn red before she fumed silently at me, holding her tongue.
