"Listen. Good for you for attempting to apply for a position as high as the first executive female director of the new project. It's a huge deal that's looking for the top individuals in the business to apply," I began. "However, I won't be like my father who eggs people on."

Stepping right into her personal space, I lowered to get right in her face as my voice dropped deadly low.

"If you think you'll be able to walk into a room of serious men and women looking like a drunk hooker who couldn't afford to pay for a hotel for the night and a change of professional clothes, you might as well drop out now," I vowed. "This environment isn't for the popular and wealthy. It's for the players and fighters in the land of business, where the stakes are high and your role in the shifter world is absolutely insignificant.”

She bit her lip hard, her whole face red with fury, and I leaned back and shrugged.

"If my poor father believes you have a chance, then please come back tomorrow and ensure he's sober. He may have not seen who you are," I suggested and began to head to the door.

"I know who the fuck you are," she snarled low enough for me to stop in my stride. "I could expose you just like that to the world. Let them know what a hypocrite you are and reveal your true identity.”

I turned around and I walked back to stand behind her. I could see the hint of her smiling lips during my approach, as if she'd somehow won whatever gamble she laid out in her mind.

"Good," I whispered, and she flinched and turned around to see my female form in the flesh. I was totally naked, flaunting my curves as she stared me up and down with wide eyes.

"This," I began and moved my hand down my bare body covered in a tattoo and scars, "is who I am. I'm not hiding it from anyone. Go ahead. Tell the press. Tell the world who I really am. Whether it's William De Luca or Willow De Luca, I'm a genius in the area of business and if I truly wanted to, I could take down any organization I wish. Including whatever shit you're plotting behind the scenes.

She tried to speak, but I had my hand suddenly on her throat, and my eyes darkened to the point that she was frozen in actual fear.

"Don’t push me, darling," I purred. "Because I'm far more dangerous than my father realizes." Leaning in even closer, I whispered, "And if you're doing this to get payback against the Forbidden Pack, particularly Dimitris, don’t bother. They haven't even mentioned you since arriving here. Whatever you're planning won't get past them, though."

Leaning back, I winked and then walked towards the door. With a step, I was back in my male form, attire and all, and I reached for the handle.

"I'm heading out. I'm sure you know your way out," I suggested. "Next time you decide to have a meeting with me, make sure you schedule with your actual name. That way I can reject it with ease."

I opened the door just as she decided to bid me farewell.

"Have a delightful ride home," she said with a bitter tone that made me chuckle.

"Thanks," was all I said as I left a stunned Garfield behind and headed to the elevators.

I love it when bitches think they can blackmail me. Priceless.

"It'sa pleasure to be your driver this evening, Mr. De Luca," the new driver greeted as he opened the door to the black Royce.

"Thank you," I replied, trying my best to not be bitter about my response because of the lingering headache that was beginning to creep back in. Settling into the spacious leather seats, I allowed myself to sigh after the door closed. The driver took his time to inspect the car from the outside, following protocol.

That interaction with Elizabeth whatever-her-fake-name-is already rubbed me the wrong way, but I wasn't afraid of her. In fact, her defiant move to try and belittle me while threatening to expose me was far too amusing to take seriously.

This was exactly why the few wolf shifters who knew of my circumstance didn't even bother using that blackmail tactic against me. I wasn't ashamed of being a male during the day and female at night.

I'd accepted my male counterpart the day I vowed to get stronger magically so I could remain in such a form for as long as needed to prove a point to my fucked-up father. Exposing me wasn't going to suddenly screw up all my resources, connections, and flowing opportunities.

Many individuals were gender fluid, and whether they had magic or no, they wouldn't dare to cross-dress just to get a taste of what it felt like to be the other gender. That wasn't something I felt deserved to be preyed upon and disgraced over.

Once you were confident about that, no one else could try to destroy you.

The quick switch, though, annoyed me just a little bit, but I could handle a little headache.

Taking my phone from my pocket, I also pulled out the red handkerchief from the special place I’d tucked it in. Inspecting it with my eyes, I allowed my thumb to stroke the soft fabric while remembering Neo's hollow eyes as they stared back at me.

He hid his emotions so perfectly, making him look like a walking piece of artwork that you could appreciate from up close and afar. Precious moments like these always pushed me to try to learn more about each of them.

Made me yearn to witness the good in them and figure out what caused them to enter this paranormal mafia life.

We may have been the "good" guys on the evil side of this world, but to commit kindness through the act of murder, blackmail, and threatening to steal every bit of love and financial stability in one's life, you had to carry an eviler side of yourself that came out to play the rough game.

It was almost like being a supervillain who hid the true reason for killing the people they targeted when the lights went out and darkness reigned.
