"You know what's a scary death to endure?" The words rushed out before I could stop them. "Being in complete darkness as your body begins to lose function. Every limb and tingling sensation beginning to fade, piece by piece."

He looked over his shoulder as if he could see me through the blindfold, and I knew my energy must surely be swirling as the words went fluttering out before I could stop them.

"Your lungs are begging for air, your body is freezing and growing numb, and your mind is on a hyperactive rollercoaster and begins to realize that there's absolutely nothing you can do to save yourself from impending doom."

He didn't say anything as I squeezed his hand further.

"What hurts the most isn't the physical pain, but knowing you're about to perish alone. You're on death row and you can’t say a single goodbye. Whatever happened prior to that is what someone will cling to for the rest of their existence. The last conversation, look, tender kiss, or argument. The last significant thing is what is now engraved upon your memory as you begin to fade away, and you regret not living more. Not doing all those things you dreamed of, or working harder to be the individual you were always meant to be. You're left with all those regrets while you sink to your doom that is nothing but darkness. That's a death I wouldn't wish on anyone I cared about and is far worse than dying during something as pleasurably satisfying as sex."

We stood there in silence before I took a deep breath and sighed.

"Sorry. I needed to get that out."

"There's no need to apologize," he whispered. "Your words are valid." Squeezing my hand, we went right back to walking, but our silence remained until we reached the exit of the tunnel that led to a forest.

"Wow. I lived here for a while and never knew they had an underground tunnel that leads to a forest. Must be a wolf thing," I reasoned, trying to make conversation.

"It is, sadly," Neo responded. "Now you know. Ready to ride me?"

"Yup!" I declared, not even feeling embarrassed by the notion that made me think of sex more than actually riding a wolf.

He nodded and looked at me warily for a moment. I could see from the lines on his face that his eyes were still covered.

"I'll be fine, Neo," I vowed.

That was the confirmation he needed to try his plan out, and with a release of my hand from his, he swiftly changed until he was a 5'0" wolf standing there in the majestic forest. His fur was magnificent, with a white fur base with hints of black at the edges of his fur.

Those eyes were striking red like blood, leaving me to stare back at them.

He approached me with caution, enough that it left me completely still as he seemed to understand my intentions. He circled around me, which should have indicated a bad sign due to the predatory complex, but I kept my focus on him as he stared at me with interest.

It took two minutes of him prowling around me, sniffing my body, before he faced me. It was so intriguing to see his eyes that were now pure white, but red magic circles hovered where his irises would have been. I wondered if he could see in his wolf form or if he had to rely upon his other senses as well as the energies around him to light up his dark view.

I was so distracted by my admiration of his eyes that I didn’t see his movement as he came right up close and licked my entire face with one strike.

I stood there horrified before I cringed.

"Ewww," I whined as my face dripped with his wolf salvia. He stared at me in interest and I crossed my arms over my chest and pouted. "Really? Are you trying to test your theory?"

He panted happily before he literally tackled me. It was so unexpected and my guard was down for the count, which left me a victim of licking madness that had me drenched.

"Neo!" I huffed. "I won't have clothes at this point!"

He paused in his licking fest to get off me and shake out his fur. He sat then, obedient as ever while I sat up and looked at the collateral damage of my white shirt and pink pants.

They're absolutely drenched.

"I hate wet clothes," I muttered and proceeded to take them right off, which left me in just a sports bra and boxer panties. I decided to wear these on a gut instinct, but it turned out to be a pretty good decision now that my clothes were going to be sacrificed.

Walking over to two trees that were hidden pretty well, I jumped off the ground and ran along the bark of the tree until I was a good height before hanging the attire to dry.

"I'll come back for these later," I declared and looked down to see Neo looking up at me, though his tail was moving from side to side.

"When you’re in wolf form, you're clearly different," I muttered as I crouched down to admire him. "Majestic. Powerful. Loving. Merciful to those who deserve it."

How am I pinpointing these things when this is my first interaction with his wolf? I bet he thinks I'm weird.

He sat down on all fours, patiently waiting for me to come down. I decided to make my way down, anticipating this house adventure, or at least the journey there before we regrouped with the others.
