Dimitris was silent for a long moment before he replied,"Get Willow to the temporary house. Make sure all guards are on deck. Jayce is doing damage control and getting rid of any potential videos of the incident. Saint is talking to the media and mapping a story that will aid in the offer being moved forward. I have a teleconference with the shareholders about our potential participation and what steps to take if we’re being targeted. The moment it's done, I'll finish up with damage control and we'll meet back at the house tonight. It's a full moon tonight so we have to run as a pack. We can take Willow simply because I don’t trust leaving her in the house if we're being targeted. Even if we have to lug her unconscious body with us."
Onyx was done clothing her, and the swift upward movement of his energy told me he was standing up.
"She'll be awake by then. Willow isn't one to stay unconscious for long,"Onyx vowed.
Need us to do something?
I was asking specifically for me because as much as I wished to stay with Willow, I was not going to be a fool in love and not do my share in this madness.
"Stay with Willow for now,"Dimitris instructed."However, we need to pull some major strings, meaning we need money fast if we're going to finish this deal. I'm sure they want us saving as we're the best bidder in the deal, but an extra billion would be great."

"You did another painting?"Onyx was the one to ask, intrigued at the potential after we explained how much I usually made with a sole painting.
I did, but I was thinking of keeping it for myself.
"What did you draw?"
The question made me smirk as I replied.

The silence was long before Dimitris muttered,"Scratch it. I'll get the money from elsewhere."
Now I was smiling while Onyx sighed into the connective bond.
"If you need a billion, I’ve got it. If you need more than that, Viktor will contribute. This deal has to be sealed before someone really gets hurt. There has to be a reason why someone is targeting Willow, and I'm very positive it ain't regarding Roberto."
He's hiding something about Willow.
I stated my thought as fact because each frantic attack seemed to unlock more enemies that wished for Willow to disappear. It had to mean something: a role, position, or rank that would be unlocked if Willow was thrown into a role that gave her a seat of power.
Dimitris knew the set-up of Saint and Jayce as reporters asking those specific questions would trigger a few powerful individuals to begin to connect the dots of William from the lands of business and Willow from the world of cage fighting at night.
From our research and observation, she wasn't trying hard to hide who she was, especially when wolf shifters previously didn't give a shit what she did.
However, with this mega-deal on the line and everyone waiting impatiently to see who ended up being the richest group of billionaires the wolf shifter world had ever seen in NYC, all eyes were on William and Willow.
All eyes ready to acknowledge that she is a double threat all on her own and a triple threat with us twirled around her finger.
I rose up from the ground as Dimitris finally answered my previous statement.
"That's definitely obvious but what is he hiding? What are we oblivious to?"
The question was something none of us could answer, and that was the dangerous part of this new situation. Why was Willow being targeted now, and what secret was Roberto holding back from the world?
"Someone far greater in power and rank is pulling the strings in the background, and they may be even more powerful than Roberto,"my wolf graciously declared.
He was right, and I was sure Dimitris was aware of it. If we had the time, we'd be able to figure this problem out once and for all, but something told me that we weren't going to be able to do that.
Things are about to move incredibly fast, and if we're not careful, we're all going to be left behind.
"We'll discuss more tonight,"Dimitris concluded."Willow's status?"
Stable. Onyx gave her a shot. A few scratches from the confrontation before her fall, but she looks okay aside from being exhausted.
