Or specifically my lips.

I expected him to pull away and let me suffer for my taunting, but he did the complete opposite and kissed me.

Not harshly or hungrily. Soft. Gentle. Addictive movements full of thick passion that literally made my toes curl and my body hum at this foreign switch of affection.

As if it couldn’t get any better, it did. Neo’s lips pressed at my collarbone, which left me so turned on in a matter of seconds, that I was moaning in encouragement for it to continue.

Holy fucking shit. Onyx is kissing me passionately and Neo is kissing me in the presence of Onyx? What in the pink moon's name is happening here?

I didn’t even dare fuck this up, drawing out this union as long as possible, until I couldn’t breathe. Neo pulled back in time for Onyx to release my lips and move from my back. I lowered my head to try and watch him, but Neo pecked my lips with his and whispered, "Sorry, Sweetness. Duty calls." The soft touch of his voice left me in pure longing, and he was next to leave the room as Onyx was at the door.

"Onyx," I called out to him before he could leave, and he paused as I quickly moved to stand behind him, my hand darting out to hold his. My gesture was unexpected, and he turned his head to look down at me as I searched his eyes.

Searched his damn soul to see if something had tried to fuck with him and he was acting like a madman off his steroids.

He graced me with a smirk before whispering, "What? Think I've lost my god damn mind?"

I was unable to stop myself from tugging at his arm, and he moved until he was facing me. Without a missing a beat, I tugged on his shirt, enough that he had no choice but to bend over, and I kissed him with so much force he was left to take it all as my lips devoured his.

He groaned and I was suddenly in his arms and against the door that slammed closed by whatever force possessed it.

I'd let out a damn beast, but I needed him to understand that I enjoyed what just happened. That his permission somehow led to me igniting something I never could have thought of doing with anyone else.

We'd faced things that we hoped to never acknowledge again, things that hurt me to the core while they made him think of himself as a monster. I forgave him, just like he worked on forgiving himself again and again when things inflicted wounds that would leave scars after their recovery.

We were wounded individuals, but we could love again. But what pushed me to show how deserving he was for my affection was him being able to share me with another.

To allow such a possibility to coexist within our life of unexpected scrutiny.

I wasn't destined for him, just as he wasn't destined for me, but I'd be damned for the sake of loving this man, and whatever came next for us would be something we'd have to force ourselves to face together.

We were breathing heavily when his phone began to ring, but he continued to ignore it. It wasn’t until he was seconds from unbuckling his pants that he grunted like he was in pain and cursed.

"Fucking Alpha shit of a fucker." The muttered words made me snicker before I was actually laughing. I unhooked myself from him and he helped me down, the two of us still panting heavily.

"Dimitris?"

"Yes," Onyx replied and stared into my eyes. He lowered his head so our foreheads pressed together, sending goosebumps through me as his hands rested on my hips.

"You're hiding something," he whispered.

"You always know shit," I grumbled with a pout, but closed my eyes before he pulled me right into his arms. "I need more time before revealing it."

"I understand," he replied, and I knew he did. That was one of those qualities of Onyx that always captivated me. More or fewer words didn't matter to him. As long as you trusted him when the time was right to share, he'd make sure he was relevant in your life and show some sort of support to remind you that he's present.

He's here to back me up, even if it's a hindrance to him.

"Are you actually willing to try that out with Neo?"

He didn't respond immediately, but I didn’t rush him.

"When a man can love you not for your beauty, but for the sheer flow of your energy, that's a man who will shed blood for you," he mumbled into my shoulder before he leaned back to look into my eyes - those rings of silver leaking through to prove that his wolf approved of this as well.

"You're intrigued by him," he whispered.

"I'm intrigued by all of them," I admitted. "But Neo is uniquely different. There's just something there that I can’t seem to solve, but wish to unlock with my own fingertips. It's an odd way to say I'm interested in another man, but I guess it would be stupid for me to say anything else but how I acknowledge it."

I tried to move my gaze away, but he held my chin captive with his hand and urged me to continue with a slight nod of his head.
