He tsked and pulled out another gun, ready to shoot, but a loud howl that made my body shiver cut through the cold air, and he cursed, suddenly running away for dear life.

I couldn’t even move before he vanished into dark clouds that formed and faded in seconds, leaving me to look down at the damage as my blood began to pour out of the wounds and I struggled to breathe.

My knees buckled then, and I was shaking like crazy, but I focused on breathing and calming myself down while my shaky hands were tingling with power. I shook my head and calmed myself down mentally.

You can fight this. You're a fighter. You've experienced silver inside you. Calm. Calm down. Jayce needs your help. Jayce... needs...help. Yes! You are powerful. A queen in the ring. A fighter among novices. Breathe.

I did exactly that before my hands fumbled to zip up the wind breaker to hide my wounds before I grunted and moved my body, which felt heavy, to help Jayce. My ears picked up the approaching steps, but I focused on Jayce as he fought hard to breathe in his wolf form, his whimpers making my heart clench.

"Jayce. You're going to be okay! I need you to switch back. Please. That's how I can help you!" I urged.

"Willow!" I heard Neo call out to me, and I turned to see him and Dimitris arrive on the scene. I realized Saint wasn’t with them, which made me curse.

"We need Saint!"

"He's coming," Neo assured me while Dimitris dropped down next to Jayce, his eyes darting like a madman to assess his wounds.

"What happened?!" Neo emphasized.

"I...well..." I struggled to speak as Jayce whimpered louder. "Silver bullet! Jayce was shot with a silver bullet. The guy ran away into a dark cloud! I need him to shift back so I can try and remove the bullet!"

Neo looked at Dimitris, who was seething with anger, and I knew with one look that his rage was thanks to me. Neo pulled his blindfold down and growled, "Dimitris, not now."

I didn’t know what they were saying in their minds, but the pain of the bullets inside me was making it hard for me to stay still. I clapped my hands to get their attention before I glared at Dimitris. "Force him to change back! If the bullet is there for more than two minutes, he's a goner!"

Dimitris growled but he placed his hand on Jayce before he muttered, "Shift back now, Jayce."

There was one more whimper before his body shifted back, and the moment I was able to pinpoint where the bullet went, I cursed and pushed Dimitris out of the way.

Fuck, fuck, fuck!

"What are you-"

"Shut the fuck up and let me concentrate!" I snarled with power, which made him and Neo flinch. My teeth were practically shattering, my eyes focusing hard to determine if the bullet actually grazed his beating heart.

Shit. Shit...I need Aurelia.

"Phone. Hurry!"

Neo gave me his phone in a second and I called Aurelia, who picked up at the first ring.

"Hey, Neo. Are you calling to do another request of min-"

"Aurelia!" I screamed. "Silver bullet that grazes the heart! What's the spell?!"

She was silent for two seconds before she cursed, and there were sounds in the background. "Fuck! I can’t teleport!"

"What?!" I asked.

"I'm not in an area where I can teleport! How long has it been?"

"Almost two minutes? Maybe more! Dammit, Aurelia...I...I need to hurry."

"What's wrong with you? Why are you struggling to speak?"

"Nothing!" I snapped.

"You're hurt!"
