"Neo!" Saint snapped, but it clearly didn't bother the fucker because he looked away and turned his attention back to Onyx.

"It wasn't him. It was that hybrid fae that controlled him."

"Doesn't do shit now!" Onyx snarled, and he headed to the door but Viktor was up and attempting to stop him. Onyx tried to toss him out of the way, and Viktor defended himself before flipping the bulk of a man into the air and down onto the ground like this had turned into the classic Wrestle Mania.

Onyx grunted while Viktor suddenly had a gun to the man's head, which made him freeze.

"Stop being a tantrum prick and think straight for a second or I'll let this bullet do it for you," Viktor threatened.

That shut us up for a moment before Neo turned and faced their direction.

"We need to find Willow," Neo announced as if we all didn't know that.

"What happened?" Viktor tried again to get information from us and Neo decided to be the temporary leader of this shit show.

"Jayce got shot by a silver bullet. Willow tried to heal him and was able to take the bullet out. When we arrived, Dimitris decided to punch the shit out of her due to his egotistic, self-hating past that got in the way, and by the time Onyx arrived and got him beneath him, Willow had shielded us in some invisible protective wall. Then the real culprits of the silver bullets surrounded us and shot at her, and suddenly she went all ruler of magic and killed them all with the same bullets before revealing the truth that she was innocent and teleported us to safety."

Viktor had to blink a few times before he was up and kicking me across the room.

"Oh, c'mon," I wheezed and couldn’t even move as I was practically choking on my blood. Saint was there protecting me when Onyx and Viktor tried to double-team against me, his hands snapping and creating multiple blades of light that were aimed directly at them.

"Why don’t we kill our Alpha after we find where Willow is?" Saint suggested.

"How did that fucker know?"

I rolled onto my side, opening my eyes and looking to see Jayce slowly sitting up before he looked at us with eyes of pure angst.

He was mad. So mad that it was surely taking everything for him to stay sane for all our sakes. He was pissed off at me, just like everyone in the pack, and the weight of their disgust in me was fighting hard to open old wounds and make me do something I'd probably regret.

"What are you referring to?" Viktor pressed, and Saint walked over to help Jayce up. He flinched at the movement but fought hard to remain standing before he asked Saint to get his laptop.

"The fae fucker," Jayce grunted. "He controlled Dimitris to say what he said. No matter what type of magic he had, there had to be a reason he specifically chose Dimitris."

I tried to get up again, and Neo watched me before he took pity and helped me sit up. I knew he didn't want to help me, but I was sure he saw my troubled energy which probably coincided with waves of sadness at my actions.

By the time the words left my lips, the damage was already done, and I couldn't stop myself from shattering Willow's heart.

That fae knew my hate for women. Knew enough to somehow trigger my emotions to make those words be so truthful that Willow wouldn't see through the lie.

I hurt her, broke any expectations she had for us, and for the first time ever, I realized what a big mistake I made by allowing my own fear of Jayce getting hurt lead us to this very moment.

"Dimitris is your Wolf Alpha," Viktor reasoned.

Onyx shook his head. "There has to be more than that. Let's be realistic. With a single glance, we all know who's the most powerful when triggered."

As if prompted to complete the very act, we all seemed to turn our gaze to Neo, who loosened the blindfold around his neck before tossing it to the side.

"They know about Mikhel," Neo announced as if it were fact. The reminder of my brother and the way he perished tugged at my heart and made me lower my gaze to the floor.

"Who is that?" Onyx questioned, and when I didn’t answer, Neo did in my stead.

"Dimitris's younger brother," he revealed. "He died of suicide."

The others didn’t speak and I peeked up to see Onyx's frown while Viktor's expression went completely blank. Neo noticed, and he proceeded to inquire about the sudden change.

"Why are you hiding your emotions?"

"You need to give me more details about what just occurred," he stressed.
