The fire alarm went off then, and she turned away as her eyes took a moment to look up to the camera she knew was recording her moves. Lifting her arm, she moved back in a graceful movement, and the video went black.

There were no words we could say to determine what was about to happen.

Or what has already been written in stone.

The dread of my forced deed left me frozen in place.

Onyx moved across the room to grab a blade that was beneath the pillow in Willow's room and headed straight to the door.

"Where are you going?!" Viktor called out as he snapped out of his shock.

"To chase after our Wilting Flower before we lose our psychotic beauty for all eternity."

He was gone, and Neo went right after him, leaving me to determine whether I had the courage to follow.

The courage to allow Willow to die like Mikhel or give her a saving grace and apologize like a true Alpha.

Only time would tell, and as my wolf howled and pushed me forward to the door, I was unsure if we had any left.

Willow...don’t let the enemy win.

Revenge And Unveil The Truth

~WILLOW~

"Forgive me.Forgive me. I've been going too hard in your city," I quietly sang, dragging my feet through the fresh layer of snow that cloaked the ground beneath my bare feet. Each step was tainted with my blood, droplets pooling freely from my wounds after the madness I’d unleashed at the root of Dubai's plan.

I had no doubt in my mind that my ex-pack had figured out the truth. Discovered the recording of my unleashed wrath and finally saw the true colors of my triggered insanity. Every blow cloaked my hands with another's blood, the sins piling up as each victim was left without a heartbeat.

I regret nothing.

Exhaustion begged me to stop, to crumble into the comforting hand of the snow beneath me, but I was unable to do that as my final destination approached.

My final resting place.

The familiarity of the place brought back those desolate memories. The years when I was deemed as nothing but a waste of space that only sparked outrage in my father, who only wished to have a male child.

A man to rule his empire. A man to follow his lead. A man who would empower more men in this vast world. A man who would pick a queen to be by his side as he conquered NYC soil.

Instead, he was plagued with a woman. A girl named Willow instead of his desired William. The ultimate betrayal by Mother Moon, whom he had begged to grant him a child that would bring honor, power, and desolation to anyone who tried to destroy him in return.

His anger, disgust, and lack of pride in me finally made sense now. When you've been betrayed by your own Mother Moon, the creator of your existence, how could you possibly believe in those who surround you? How could you expect loyalty in all circumstances while attempting to manifest a reality you pictured day in and day out?

I feel betrayed.

Abandoned by a pack I thought I'd have a chance at settling into. A business I dedicated my days every week to learn and prosper from. It was only a matter of time before I betrayed myself by ending it all like I should have done years ago.

As I continued to drag my feet through the snow, I thought of all the dreams and wishes I’d carried as a child. Whether it was as little William or little Willow, my dreams of acceptance were the same.

To walk into a room and be me.

To be praised for my work, not because of a persona I created, but because I worked hard to achieve results and deserved praise that would motivate me to strive for better.

What I desired was so easy to grasp, and yet it always slipped away from me when I least expected it, leaving me hollow with sadness and disappointment that tattooed upon my flesh for what seemed like a lifetime.

I approached the cliff at a snail’s pace, but was nearing the very spot I’d stood years ago. I was a coward back then, unable to take that leap downward and end myself once and for all.

The memories flooded back, leaving me to smile as tears brewed within my eye sockets and threatened to overspill. How amazing to be alive after that vulnerable moment, only to return to this place a few years later to complete the job once and for all.
