That wolf...familiar...but from where?

When we reached the surface, I gasped before I was pulled towards land. I kept my hold on both of them until we were on the wet, grassy surface where ligaments of snow remained, leaving me to breathe in relief before I looked between Willow and Onyx, trying to figure out who I had to revive first.

Instead, the howling sound next to me forced my body to freeze. The creature who’d aided me was now walking to separate the two of them until they were on their backs. Neither of them were breathing, but the wolf suddenly rose on its back legs and used its front paws to bounce on Onyx's chest.

I was shocked that it didn't break his damn ribs as she did it three more times, and it was on the final press that he coughed and gasped for air before he was sputtering out water that had clearly filled his lungs.

I aided him by conjuring my magic to call upon the water that was making it impossible for him to breathe properly, while my eyes noticed that the wolf moved to hover its head over Willow's face.

Water began to leave her gaped lips, magically flowing upward until she was suddenly sputtering and coughing. She passed out a few seconds later, while the floating water that had been removed from her body was thrown to the side by the flicking movement of the wolf's head.

I arched an eyebrow at the creature questioningly, realizing it clearly had gone hard on Onyx and easy on Willow, but it took Willow into its mouth and was about to leave.

"Wait!" I ordered. "You can’t take her!"

The wolf turned slightly. My eyes locked onto the golden orbs that observed me. Words flowed into my head, but it wasn’t anyone from our pack.

"If your Wolf Alpha wishes to awaken this woman who is a part of his pack, let him come to the Alpha forest,"she declared loud enough for it to funnel through the tunnel between me and Dimitris."The clock is ticking, and either he can admit his wrongs and save her or watch her perish."

I couldn’t even move before she vanished from my sight with Willow, but before I could even panic, Dimitris's voice flooded my mind.

"Do not fear. I'll get to Willow on time. I'm close to the forest."

His words shocked me. It was as if he knew Willow would somehow manage to be brought there. It brought me a spike of hope beyond measure that we still had a fighting chance in awakening Willow's wolf upon this Pink Moon.

Onyx groaned and soon opened his eyes, and after a second, he sat right up and looked wildly around.

"Willow?" he questioned and looked at me for answers.

"The Alpha Forest," I announced. "We need to head there now before it's too late."

I expected him to ask me twenty-one questions, but his serious expression and nod surprised me. "I promised I'd find her."

His words triggered a grin to my lips as I rose up and offered my hand to him.

"Then we shouldn't delay," I offered. "Or she's going to beat the shit out of you."

He smirked and placed his hand in mine, his wrists already beginning to heal thanks to his wolf abilities. He knew he may risk dying, but he trusted that Mother Moon would find a way to help him out.

To trust Mother Moon and the rest of the universe in a world like this was one of the hardest tasks for our kind, but he did it flawlessly to save Willow from the land between life and death.

We shared a nod and I quickly told Saint and Jayce to grab Viktor and come down to the forest. I knew without a doubt we'd need all of us in preparation for what I was hoping for.

It's time to see our Sweet Willow awaken from slumber.

~WILLOW~

When I woke up,I was in a dark forest.

My body was weak, numb and all, while my head was pounding as I fought the urge to pass right out once more. Being awake meant I was alive, and the realization left me looking around as I grasped as much air as my lungs allowed.

I fought the urge to cough as I took far too much of the cool oxygen, but I slowly let it out as tears were already streaming down my face.

I'm alive. I'm fucking alive!

My body was drenched and the cold of the night made me shiver uncontrollably, but feeling such sensations only confirmed what registered in this moment in time.

I've been given a second chance.
