"Didn't have your second cup of coffee this morning?"

"Nah. Woke up a little later this morning. Aurelia came by to give me a new supply of meds," I explained. "Also seems like we got two new packs in town?"

"I'm aware." Viktor's face went from blank to a deep scowl. That meant shit was happening.

"What's the problem?"

"There's not a problem. Yet," he admitted. "One is specifically here for the Clementines. Aurelia’s already calling dibs."

"I'm not surprised, but she'd be smart enough to know if they're bad news as in they'll try to kill her and the rest of her powerful family or bad news as in she'll fall hard for them and claim them as her new pack."

"The second one is bad news?"

"Dating Aurelia is like dating a psychopath."

"Like you."

I lifted my eyes from my computer to look at him. He didn't even flinch at my glare. "If you can't acknowledge that, you're delusional."

My eyes rolled before I acknowledged it. I lowered my cup of coffee to take off my jacket. Viktor walked over to take it from my grasp as I fixed my cufflinks and tie.

"I've heard about that pack, but what's the mystery surrounding the other?" I inquired. "Haven't really gotten further info from Aurelia."

"Rich. Loads of connections. Have tons of shares worldwide."

"Meaning?"

"Combined they carry a close if not exact same amount of wealth as your father."

"Oh." I actually leaned back into my chair as I grabbed my latte and gave Viktor my full attention. "Tell me more."

"He'd kill you if he saw how happy you are right now."

"Good. Either I'll be reincarnated as a boy or I'll just go straight to Heaven while he carries all my sins for me. As if he doesn't have enough to land him in the pits of Hell already." I sipped my drink and carried on. "So what're their names?"

"Don't know."

That was a first.

"You of all people are struggling to get their info?"

"Sadly," he admitted and looked infuriated by the mere idea.

"Is Onyx working on it?"

"He is, and struggling as I am.”

"Then we have a good set of wolf shifters," I praised. "How many people do you think Papa Dearest will kill today out of frustration?"

"He already killed two," he dryly declared. "I better get to cleaning that up."

"I agree." I sipped more of my coffee. "Are we training this weekend?"

"Probably," he replied. "No full moon so I don't need to be around."

"Good. I need to work on my kicks," I teased as he muttered something about killing me in my sleep. I laughed when I caught it as I shook my head.

"Who would kill you first? Aurelia or Onyx?"
