"Aurelia." His answer was instant. "She's a lunatic."

"She's honestly not that crazy," I suggested calmly as I finished the remainder of my coffee.

"You don't see her in the same light."

"Why is that?"

"You two dated."

"Briefly."

"A year isn't brief."

"It's enough to know that we're better as best friends than lovers," I acknowledged. "Plus, my male side is a dick to her."

"As you are to everyone but me," he concluded.

"True but I ain't dating you," I said with a smug grin. He gave me a glare before I continued. "Regardless of how long we dated, she's still protective of me. I think it's due to all the magic she uses to help me out."

"Isn't it supposed to be the other way around, like you're addicted to her because of her magic?"

"Nah." I shook my head. "Magic apparently isn't that predictable. The witch or wizard who continuously invokes magic into another for an extended amount of time gets semi-attached to them or, in Aurelia's case, protective. That's why she doesn't really have any long-term clients or she'll space them out to purchase once a year."

"Is that why people buy in bulk when purchasing from her company?"

"Yup. Aurelia's stuff works and she doesn't bullshit with her time and everyone knows it. You can't buy one potion and come back a week later after it worked to get another. Doesn't work that way. Though now that she's booked for two years, I don't know how new clients work," I explained.

"What a good problem to have," he declared. "I guess your supplement is stocked up seeing as she was at your place this morning."

"Yup," I declared. "Taken, fed, and took her advice to smile today."

"No wonder why you did it." He shook his head as he made his way to the door.

"Anything else we need to discuss?” I asked as I cracked my knuckles and began to stretch. He looked back in time to notice my sudden flinch and arched his eyebrow at me.

"What's wrong with your shoulder?"

"I’ve got no clue," I admitted. "It was hurting last night but Onyx fixed it," I muttered.

"Fixed it as in placed medicine on it or fixed it as in gave you a massage before fucking your brains out and leaving you basically dead for hours."

"Your jealousy is showing," I hummed as I pulled out the top drawer that had some cold-to-hot healing patches.

He didn't look pleased by my comment, but he came walking back until he muttered, "Unbutton your shirt for a second."

"Oh. We’re going from PG to Rated-R real fast," I teased but did as he encouraged, knowing he'd want to inspect it. Seeing as Viktor could have been the best coach in any league of sports, I liked to listen to him when it came to assessing injuries gained from my vigorous activities.

He moved the silk material to reveal my broad shoulder, pressing lightly until that pinch of pain hit me. A hiss escaped my lips. He merely observed me before he began to massage the area with a different technique. He then took the healing patch from my grasp and tore it open.

He didn't comment until it was plastered on my skin.

"Should be good. If it doesn't go away it may be a growth spurt."

"I'm twenty-five. What growth spurt am I getting?"

"You're a twenty-five-year-old who uses magic to maintain a male appearance. You're going to experience stupid male shit whenever your body feels like it," he concluded.

"You make it sound like you did the research," I huffed.
