Searching for information, weaknesses, and anything that will give him a clue about what he's after.

"Well, I'm more on the brighter side of fashion," I reasoned as I slid my phone back into my pocket, knowing damn well I'd already tapped into the elevator cameras and was gathering a duplicate recording of what was occurring at this moment. "Why spend millions of dollars on clothes that do nothing to present your class? Obviously, there's a time and place, of course, but if you have the funds to flaunt it, I believe it's a requirement to treat the outside world like a runway and make it your own."

I expected him to make a comment to strike down my words, but the way his lips curled upward made my heart skip a few beats while my cock actually twitched.

Oh no. That ain't good at all.

"Didn't think I'd agree with another comment," he admitted again as the elevator came to a stop. The doors opened and I noticed security was already waiting for our arrival as the two guards and Viktor moved out to make way for this mysterious man and me.

We seemed to move in unison, matching our strides as we commanded the room. Everyone turned their attention to us. I suddenly felt so empowered with this man, who was the same height as me.

It was as though we were friends - acquaintances in fashion and style - while carrying a sense of wealth in our strides. He knew how to command a room to his desire, the mere attire only an addition to the force he carried.

Hmm. I like that.

"Done for the day?" he inquired as we made our way to the doors.

"Yes, thankfully, though business never really ends when there are millions of dollars to make," I tossed out.

"Millions and billions," he commented as we made our way through the opened glass door. The rotating doors were being cleaned and assessed for perfection.

The moment we stepped out, people screamed and even gasped, the unexpected man walking next to me only igniting waves of shrieks and gossip all around. The shutters of the cameras were going triple in speed as the two of us came to a stop at the top of the stairs to face one another.

"I haven't seen you around," I noted casually.

"I'm new," he admitted, his shoulders seemingly more relaxed now that we were outdoors. "Haven't been to the busy streets of NYC in quite some time."

"Well, you'll either enjoy it or wish to run right back to where you came from. I can't really guess where that is, but from your attire, could be California or Texas."

"Cali." He shortened the term, that smile of his widening to show a few of his white teeth while his eyes judged me carefully.

Wondering how much I already know.

"Far hotter there than here."

"That's true." I chuckled and gestured to the sky. "We sadly don't enjoy summer all year long. Fall months ain't bad but the winter months are cruel."

"The cold months only excite me," he confessed. "I run a little on the warmer side. Doesn't bother me at all."

"Same," I agreed and noticed the matte navy-blue Lamborghini with pink accents pulling up behind my pink Royce. "Your ride's here?"

"Yup," he announced and whistled. "Why do I have a feeling you're the Royce?"

I laughed as we both seemed to have the same thought as we began to make our way down the stairs. "This is our runway after all," I reminded. "You have to deliver an excellent exit, which you must understand with that beauty behind mine. Black leather?"

"Blue," he declared. "Italian-made with a few accented features in pink. She's a beauty and feisty on the road."

"Too bad. I left my sports car at home. Mine is a little too delicate to have some fun."

"What a shame," he commented as we reached the last step, everyone still screaming around us as security worked on keeping them manageable. "Maybe we'll see each other around and can enjoy a little race."

"I accept your invitation." I winked and offered my hand. "William De Luca."

"Dimitris Moore," he introduced. "Honor to meet you, William." The way he said my name as our hands grasped one another sent shocking tingles racing through me.

If I were in my female form, I would have perished with fuck-me-now syndrome and jumped this man before he could blink.

"Hope to see you again soon," I encouraged,
