I made my way to where Viktor had dropped me in the first place. The area was quiet, seeing as the night was still young and the party was only getting started.

Viktor was leaning against an open-top purple matte Mercedes Benz, blowing the smoke from the cigarette that looked to be just lit. He noticed my approach as I waltzed over to him. I took the cigarette from his two fingers and took a long hit of the addictive substance before offering it back to him.

His displeasure was amusing as I smirked before letting the air out while I walked over to the passenger seat. He was already there, opening the door with his damn speed and long arms.

As I settled into the leather seats, he walked back to the driver’s seat before we put our seatbelts on. "Why is there another man's scent on your body?" he questioned with a hint of authority.

I laughed and gave him a saucy gaze as I lifted both my brows. "Your girl went against the rules and danced with another man. New in town or some shit," I reasoned. "Wasn't Dimitris, FYI. Just in case you're going to try and kill him or something."

Viktor rolled his eyes as he started the car.

"Onyx is going to kill you."

"And I'll enjoy every minute of it," I reasoned. "But first. I think I wanna blow off some energy."

"The ring at this time? You're being cruel to whoever is in the lead."

"They should be happy I'm willing to grace them with my unexpected presence."

"You just love ruining people's victories," he concluded.

"Don't think I ruined Saint's," I mumbled.

"Who?"

"Nobody," I hummed and turned on the radio. He gave me a look, but I lifted my hands up and moved them like I was still on the dance floor. "Off to the ring we go. What trail of blood we leave behind, nobody knows!"

"I sometimes wonder who's crazier," Viktor grumbled.

"Are your referring to me and Papa Dearest or me versus Aurelia? Because we know the answer to both scenarios," I reasoned, followed with a giggle.

"You better sober up by the time we reach there."

"I will," I assured him. "Let me have my fun a little longer," I sang.

He began to move as my ears caught onto three gunshot sounds. I noticed Viktor's tension, but I merely laughed and increased the volume of the music that reminded me of the dance floor with that sexy, innocent piece of white chocolate.

Sorry, Saint Alexander. Duty calls in the heart of the ring but I hope to see you again.

The Flower That Got Away

~SAINT~

The mixed scentof cherry blossoms with hints of lavender and a touch of roses teased my nostrils as my body lost itself to the woman I was grinding against. The music was captivating as the beat thrummed through my veins like an addictive drug waiting to set me loose in an unfound phenomenon that was actually reality.

The room was hot, steaming with the highs of the young night while a bit of alcohol was allowing me to be daring - as if my risky behavior wasn't a normal, engrained trait. I could smell the scent of a male upon this woman, lingering evidence of intense lust that cloaked her panties.

Whoever he was, he did it on purpose, and this woman knows exactly that. She knows who's claimed her and that none of these weak wolves around us would dare risk losing their life for one dance.

Except for me. Saint Alexander.

My bros loved to emphasize how far off my holy, innocent name was. I was nowhere close to a saint. I might as well be called Lucifer Alexander. I'm sure my mother was allowed to give me my name, believing it would somehow manipulate the character I would morph into.

So I’d become nothing like my sinister father.

It was a shame that I took all his qualities and more, leaving me to wonder if I were the next upgrade when it came to our devilish ways of thinking and deceiving. It wasn't really his fault that he wasn't trustworthy.

I was sure he second-guessed my existence when my mother found out she was pregnant. Being in this world for twenty-five years taught me that nothing is free, grudges grow roots, wolf shifters care only about their own, and an abundance of money and connections can con anyone into believing you are a powerful individual.
