That ignited a snicker, sigh, grunt, and a quiet 'she's amusing' reaction from my left, but I didn't bother moving my attention from Onyx as I continued. "What kind of dream is this? I want more coffee. Isn't it supposed to just pop into my grasp? I also want a hug. Maybe I want both. What time is it? No, what day is it? Fuck, my body hurts. Everything hurts. Why do I feel so disorientated anyways? I feel this is a waste of oxygen," I rambled all at once and sighed. "I can't remember shit."

"You're always delusional after shit like that happens," Onyx mumbled and moved to take a black pill bottle from the top shelf of the cabinet. My frown couldn't be any deeper as I knew exactly what that was.

"I don't want that shit."

"It's not that bad."

"It tastes like charcoal," I began as he reached for a bottle of water in the fridge.

"Your point?"

"I don't want it." I felt like a child, but I couldn't help but complain as I crossed my arms over my chest and looked over to the four who were still intently watching me. "Stare at something else!"

"Looks like our Wilting Flower woke up on the wrong side of the bed," Saint sang as he sat in his chair that was turned so his bulky arms rested on the top of the backrest.

Our? Since when was I theirs?

"You're only going to make her feisty," Jayce grumbled. "I don't have the energy to deal with that right now."

"Her energy is pretty."

Everyone seems to look at Neo after what he said. His eyes were covered with a red bandage instead of his usual shades.

"Where are your shades?" I inquired, which brought everyone's attention from him to me.

"They hurt the back of my ears if I wear them too often," Neo quietly commented, though his soft-spoken voice wasn't a reflection of his discomfort with the topic. "Don't like the bandage?"

"You look like the Daredevil," I mumbled and shrugged. "Whatever. You look alright."

Saint whistled. "I can feel the sparks already," he declared. "This is going to make this whole pack alliance easier."

"Pack what?" I questioned and narrowed my eyes at the man. "I didn't agree to anything."

"That was lost when your weak ass passed out," Dimitris muttered, and suddenly a knife sailed right past him and impaled the wall behind him.

Everyone stared at him in horror before slowly looking back at me. I didn't even think when conducting the move, which lead Onyx to sigh. He popped the pill into his mouth, chugged some water, reached for my head, turned it to his direction, and slammed his smooth lips against mine.

I was forced to take the nasty shit of a pill with the cold water that flowed into my mouth and down my throat, but our kiss lingered a bit longer, enough for his tongue to tease mine for a few seconds before he released me.

"You really have to think before you act," he scolded me, which only made me give him a dull look before he grunted and clung to his stomach for dear life as I retracted my fist. "And on occasion, you're a real bitch."

"A badass bitch," I huffed and shivered at the taste of lingering charcoal. "Ew. I'm going to die."

Onyx recovered but he was cringing as well - the disgusting taste of that pill probably assaulting his senses. "Fuck me. Why did I take that shit?"

"Because you don't want me killing those four fuckers in general, and specifically the asshole sitting right there." I pointed at Dimitris, who still had a cold expression on his face. "Now why the fuck are they in your place? You hate letting strangers in and, well, they're strangers. I swear we were taught about stranger danger."

"We were taught to kill any stranger that fucks with us so those teachings aren't very off from the usual, Sugar," Onyx reminded, which made me huff in annoyance.

"I don't care! Why the fuck are they here and when can I kill them?" I inquired. "I may spare the redhead though."

I noticed the way Neo's lips quirked up. The other three shook their heads.

"We lost a brother and we haven't even formally introduced ourselves." Saint sighed. "How did you fucking get the girl when I danced with her? There was a connection."

"Connection of what? Lust and beating music?" Jayce tsked in annoyance. "You have that connection with every girl on the block, so sit the fuck down."

"Rude fucker," Saint grumbled and looked at Dimitris. "Don't we have to leave soon?"
