"Either inform your business pals of the truth or allow them to do whatever they wish. I won't go down without a fight, and if I do perish somehow, all you're igniting is a war I'm not sure you'll survive through," I whispered as I straightened my back and smirked. "Farwell, Roberto De Luca. I guess I'll see you when I see you."

With that, I hung up the phone and tossed it behind me, knowing Onyx would catch it.

The room remained silent as I looked into Dimitris's eyes, and for a split second, I almost certainly saw the pride in those bubblegum orbs.

"Well," I began. "Guess I'm officially yours."

Oh Mother Moon...I just stripped away my own freedom. I'm fucked. So, so fucked.

~DIMITRIS~

"You can't fucking do this."

To overhear the very man who was pulling all the strings to stop us from gaining the followers we knew would bow down to us feel threatened gave me far more satisfaction than I envisioned.

It was either that or watching how fucking sexy Willow De Luca was as she put this man in his place. She was pulling out all her cards, proving to this man who’d sold her to three of the deadliest and richest wolf packs this world had ever seen that she was a force to be reckoned with.

Even with her human roots.

"I can, seeing as I still have some sort of my freedom before my masters steal all of that from me in a few moments," she reasoned and carried on. "Don't expect me tomorrow. I don't work on Mondays. A four-day week should have been mandatory rather than the whole Monday bullshit. Maybe I would have liked the day better if you didn't beat the shit out of me when your deals went to shit every weekend all those years ago," she said with distaste, her eyes darkening like she was witnessing the actions done to her right here and now.

"Willow." I found it amusing how he was now trying to use the sympathy tactic. As if he truly felt sorry for being a shit butt of a dad and was begging her to give him one solid chance to repent for all the sins he’d committed against her.

She didn't fall for such bullshit as she answered back.

"Oh. Now trying to persuade me to stay? To acknowledge that I'm a female who thought if she worked overtime training her tiny ability of magic she retrieved from her mother, she'd be the male you'd always begged to have? Are you disappointed that after all the shit you pulled to control me, I've somehow grown into a woman you can't keep in shackles, like Mother? Surely it annoys you to your core that I'm about to start some sort of mega war because you can't fulfill your end of the bargain."

I knew she was nervous. All of this was clearly going far faster then she must have assumed this conversation would be going, and yet it was so divinely beautiful to witness with my own eyes that I was completely lost in her ability to lead.

Her ability to rise and conquer.

I expected when I first found out about her that she'd be a rich, whining brat who would cause trouble. She was still causing us loads of trouble without even realizing it, but she was feisty, independent, hot as fuck, and dangerously handsome as William.

From how this conversation was going, it was obvious she'd dealt with her share of shit. Her pain that had left scars along her body and heart, and the level of trust she had in our humanity was almost nonexistent.

She trusted those who honored loyalty. She understood that trust was earned by standing at one's side through the craziest shit and being willing to sacrifice your life for the sake of the other person. Her guard, this witch wolf, and this man Onyx appeared to be individuals who would abandon all ties to be on her side, and what Onyx had done while Willow was unconscious only proved that he would do absolutely anything for her happiness and salvation.

What does he see in her to risk it all?

We were just getting a glimpse of it now, and as much as I didn't want to admit it myself, she was showing us what a threat she could be to whoever she deemed an enemy.

She whirled around and walked to the table where we sat. I was standing between Jayce and Saint as her eyes locked onto mine.

Fuck...

She looked so hot right now with that blazing gaze of resilience that was ready to lay everything down on the line to prove to her shit of a father that she was the one that got away from his grasp.

The only woman he'll regret not fighting hard to keep her in his grasp.

"Contract," she boldly stated. I saw the conviction in those teal turquoise spheres. She may do something she was going to regret, but she was willing to take that chance as long as her father paid for some of his sins.

I offered a hand to Neo, knowing well he'd sense my gesture. The energy through the air would lighten up his dark vision. Neo snapped his fingers, summoning the very package of paper we'd signed last night with Onyx to finalize his agreement to join our pack.

Taking the document, I got right to the final page where the signature in ink and the large paw print in blood was at the bottom half of the page. Onyx's signature is on the left with the right empty for Willow's agreement.

When we created this document, we expected the only way to get it signed by her -or him, during the day -would be to kidnap her. Now that we witnessed a glimpse of what she could do as a human against that large pack of wolf shifters, that would have been a problematic plan.

Especially with her withstanding Neo's abilities.
