Then it clicked.

“Please don’t tell me you’re saying Willow has another mate out there in the Faerie realm?”

My statement was greeted with silence until a snicker stole our attention to a grinning Willa.

My eyes widened as the forest began to shift. The shadowed trees of green began to shift to multicolor and formed the border entrance of a vast clearing that was filled with red roses.

There were thousands , rows and columns, of blood roses that glittered with various sparkles, and right in the center was Willa, who now wore a dazzling dress of red while her hair was all white.

I wasn’t the only one left speechless at the sight: the remaining four were gawking just like I was as we took in Willa’s enchanting appearance. The skies looked like the sun was setting, and yet the very glow of the a mystical planet sat high in the sky while the opposite side reflected the glimmering moon.

Stars twinkled brightly as shooting stars danced through the vast surface above, making me feel as though I’d entered a dreamland that I didn’t wish to depart from.

Milo was the one to make the first move, and I noticed how he no longer wore simple clothing. Instead, he was in gold layers of silky fabric that were accented with jewels and coins of pure gold.

His black hair was long and flew gallantly in the passing wind while a crown that glimmered diligently sat upon his head.

Each step he took made the blood roses bloom further as their aroma heightened tremendously, but it didn’t ignite the negative effects it did back in our realm.

It seemed to do the complete opposite.

My eyes trailed along the others, noticing how each of their attire had changed completely.

Dimitris wore pure white with an accented red tie and had short white hair that was combed back, while Neo wore a completely red dress with a red tie and his hair was styled to one side. Arthur wore a suit that mimicked the multicolor shade of flames, while his red hair hung loosely down his shoulders.

That left me to look at myself. I wore a jet-black suit with a white tie. My hair was combed back behind my ears, and my very fingertips were cloaked with glowing tattoos of black that wrapped around my fingers.

Each of us looked like we were about to attend a ball of sorts, but a part of me felt like this was what our appearance would be in these realms of royal abundance.

“Mine!”Willa declared proudly as she lifted a few blood roses in her grasp before she giggled and commanded the wind to spin around her so the petals would dance and rain down on us.

“Yours, Your Majesty,” Milo agreed as he approached her. He immediately knelt to one knee while he carried a smile of grace. “I know you’re having fun, Willa, but time runs quickly here, remember?”

“Oh.”She blinked a few times.“Runway show!”

“Yes,” Milo replied with a chuckle as he offered her his hand. “However, you know what this means, don’t you?”

“Fae mate!”she cheered and placed her hand in his.“Second fate mate!”

“I feel worthy of being acknowledged by you,” Milo responded as he laid a kiss on the back of her hand. “I vow upon these lands of my people to discover whose fae essence was wrongfully stolen and used against Willow and you, her counterpart. Under fae law, it’s unacceptable, and the consequences will be seen by all in power so it never happens again. Will you accept such actions so we can be forgiven for our blind sightedness, my queen?”

“Hmm.”She actually took a moment to think about it.“Yes!”

She giggled and closed her eyes.“Bye-bye, Prince of Bloodshed.”

There had to be some sort of symbolism to that title, but it wouldn’t be acknowledged now as Willow’s eyes opened to reveal prism orbs.

“Huh?” She looked around and then her eyes went massive. “Holy shit! Blood roses galore!” Her eyes couldn’t get wider, but they did the moment she acknowledged all five of us and gasped. “Fucking hell. Am I dreaming? Did I die? Oh fuck, I died, didn’t I? How the hell did I die? There has to be an explanation for why five of my Forbidden Kings look like descending gods.”

The snicker came from Neo as he covered his mouth to muffle the joyous sound.

“Welcome back, Sweetness,” Neo greeted. “You’re not dead. We’re just in Faerie.”

“F-Faerie?!” she gasped and thought about it. “Actually. Where are the dead guys?”

“Huh?” we asked her in response.

“Uh…I feel like there are supposed to be dead people here. Well, like, not here in Faerie, but back in the garden? Honestly, I’m not sure, but wow. You guys all look hot. Are we able to get a picture? No. Neo! I need you to paint this for me so I can put it in my office.”
