GO WITH THE FLOW

~VIKTOR~

“You can’t fucking tellme that wasn’t on fucking purpose, Viktor!”

The slam of the door was followed with furious pacing as Willow fought to not punch something.

I was just as angry as she was, but I was slightly distracted as she strutted through her designated change room in a black fitted bra and thong.

Tame yourself, dammit.

“Always taming, never fucking.”My wolf was probably done with my bullshit which was why he enjoyed pushing my buttons lately.“You’re going to make her slip out of our grasp again if you don’t man the fuck up.”

I ignored him for my own sanity, knowing well that we had bigger problems on the horizon.

There was less than an hour until the runway show and we’d discovered one of the worst possible scenarios for something that relied on one’s attire to make a striking statement.

Every single outfit of the Forbidden Pack was burnt to fucking crisp.

"How could someone do such a fucking thing!” Willow snapped as she continued to pace. Even the knock on the door didn’t seem to cut through her furious rage.

I proceeded to the door, knowing it would stay closed otherwise because Willow probably didn’t give two shits about anyone but the culprit who’d stooped so low as to ruin Ruby’s hard work.

With a brief second to ensure no one threatening was at the door, I opened it to be greeted by a tall male with dull green eyes.

All I did was arch an eyebrow at him, knowing he had to be one of the advisors for one of the royals in the next building, but seeing as he was specifically visiting us, he had to be a part of the fashion department.

“Sorry for my intrusion,” he muttered almost disdainfully. “I was requested by Queen Phoenix to check in on the status of the wardrobe malfunction.”

“I’m sure she’s been notified thanks to Dimitris,” I coldly stated and was about to close the door, but the man proceeded to walk in before I could attempt it.

Son of a—

“I’ve been requested to get a response from Willow De Luca,” he declared and side-eyed me when I gave him a deadly glare. “Orders from the queen should be respected. I’m sure a previous guard of royalty should recall our standards and practices.”

“If you believe you’re superior to me because you attend to Queen Phoenix herself, I can quickly convince you otherwise,” I warned as my eyes were surely blazing with silver. The man simply rolled his eyes as if I were having a fucking tantrum.

“Lay a hand on me and you’ll be in jail, Viktor Huxley.” He looked so fucking proud as he further lifted his head, knowing well that I’d have to submit to him. With a snobby smirk, he glanced forward. The slapping sound and sight of this royal advisor’s face going the opposite way left me completely stunned.

The advisor didn’t dare react further as his body simply went rigid because he was now face-to-face with William, and the man exhibited nothing but lethal energy.

“You’re five fucking seconds away from enjoying a bullet to that cocky head of yours.” He growled menacingly as those orbs of blue began to taint to a glimmering gold—a strong sign that his wolf was inches from the surface.

“M-My apologies,” he stuttered, but William tilted his head up on purpose, ensuring the man felt the radiating power oozing out of him in waves.

Even I was becoming uncomfortable as the room felt stuffy with palpable energy. I knew Willow was mad, but this proved she’d really had enough bullshit for the day.

“My apologies, Mr. De Luca,” he repeated and bowed his head in submission.

William purposely took another step so he was right in the man’s personal space before he leaned over to whisper into his ear.

“If you think you can belittle one of my men, you are wrongfully mistaken.” There was no emotion in those spoken words and yet it could leave anyone trembling in fear. “You believe you’re not replaceable? Why? Simply due to your loyalty to Queen Phoenix? How laughable is that?”

William began to walk around the advisor, and by the time he did a full circle, Willow stood before him in a fitted black dress with black Christian Louboutins. Her hair was up in a bun while a black coat sat upon her shoulders.

“Clearly you must be one of plenty who are dissatisfied with what’s about to happen, aren’t you? Displeased that I’ll be reclaiming my birthright. I’d assume a few of you would be rather annoyed that Ruby would be stepping down, but from the recent incident that I’m still rather peeved about, it looks like that’s not the case.”

“I don’t understand,” he managed to say as he tried to look up at her, only for him to be frozen at the dangerous look in Willow’s eyes. Her prism orbs looked like shards of ice.
