"The Faerie kingdoms must be furious.”

“It’s a win-win situation for her and them. They now have a solid connection to the next queen in power.”

“The one who dared manipulate such magic is the one I feel sorry for.”

More talk continued as my strapless gown clung to me in full bloom. The blood roses formed the entire dress—their petals cloaked in rainbow glitter while vines of black and green intertwined and wrapped around my arms to make it more obvious that this was a living flower of magical power.

My heels sparkled just as brilliantly in red while my steps continued to make magic circles of iridescent white.

I caught a glimpse of my hair, the strands no longer pink but pure white, and I was positive my eyes were prism spheres glimmering under the spotlight.

This truly was the moment I’d worked toward—to finally be acknowledged in a community that had been desperate to keep me out. I was sure some wore scowls of displeasure and defeat behind their masks while others were truly proud of my uprising, but this moment was what defined the next arc in my journey.

The next arc in my pack’s journey…a new path that my men and I would walk upon together.

With a final step, I was at the end of the lengthy path, all lights on me as many flashing lights clicked away throughout the crowd.

I tried not to look at my men or the surprised row of superiors to my right, but I did catch Roberto’s gaze.

The level of sheer pride in his eyes almost made me forget where I was as I witnessed those spheres twinkle with hints of tears as they peered up at the final product of his parenting.

I knew he wasn’t proud of what he had to do for me to reach this moment in time, but those eyes told me he was damn proud I’d survived his cruelty. That despite everything he put me through, I prevailed and conquered all those who wished me to fail.

I was a true reflection of what perseverance looked like, and how that made me feel proud of myself.

The years of suffering, agony, torture, and constant mayhem led me to this point in time where everything came full circle.

It was liberating—truly rejuvenating—and maybe this was the moment I needed to reignite my desire to keep playing this fighting game of survival.

So many had wished for me to fall, but those who wished for me to prevail sat the closest to me.

A row of men who loved me and a row of mentors who clearly supported my success.

I didn’t need a whole room of supporters to dwell in this sense of achievement. You only ever need a few supportive individuals in your life to reach new heights.

I have my pack, my family, and those in power who wish for me to move forward into my next chapter. That’s enough. That’s all I need.

"Introducing, Willow Alundra Phoenix, Princess and Heir of the Phoenix Empire, wearing a one-of-a-kind gown titledDress of Carnage!”

Many began to clap, but I realized my pack wasn’t going to be outdone in that department because they were all up and cheering like I’d won the fucking lottery.

The sight made it almost impossible not to burst out laughing as I peered over at each of them to see the pride and wide grins that made my heart flutter in joy.

Even Arthur and Amos were wearing such prideful grins, as if they had been here from the beginning to witness it all, which left me to feel even more pleased with my strive to keep going because I finally was enjoying the fruits of my labor.

Publicly, for the world to witness and acknowledge with their own eyes.

"That’s my Blossoming Flower!” Saint cheered, to which Jayce grunted and elbowed him.

“She’s our Rebel Flower, and stop being so fucking loud.”

“Hell nah! Everyone’s hearing my loud mouth today! Our baby earned this!”

“You just like embarrassing everyone,” Arthur gleefully declared. “Sweet Domino! You look divine!!!”

“He states the obvious and proceeds to join in,” Onyx complained.

“He just wants to piss us off,” Loki muttered.
