“Reinforcements?” Neo questioned.

“Feels like a fleet of shifters but their magic auras don’t feel normal.”

“Another…zombie…ambush,” Arthur barely managed to state.

“Zombies?” multiple voices questioned, but I seemed to zone everything out as I continued to stare up into those eyes and tears escaped.

Don’t tell me my Saint is gone…

Hearing the heartbreak in her internal thought was enough to make me fight to speak, but my voice struggled to escape.

I had to do something for her to understand I remembered her—remembered all of them—and that I was the same Saint from moments ago.

Using every hint of strength, I managed to reach up and lightly slide my fingers through Willow’s pink strands that were overpowered by white ones.

Our Sweet Flower had really pushed herself to her limit, and despite the madness that somehow ignited during this sudden act of confrontation, I was simply grateful she was sparing me her last moments of strength by ensuring I was okay.

With a slight tug, I pulled her down enough to press our lips together in a romantic kiss, and her relief was simply contagious as I felt the waves of alleviation wash through the pack bond that was now wider and raw with the two new energies.

“He’s okay,” Onyx breathed in relief.

“Which is our cue to get out of here,” Loki stressed.

“We all can’t fit into the ride,” Jayce stressed.

“I don’t think I can teleport us,” Milo confessed.

“I have a van hidden nearby,” Viktor revealed. “It’ll be tight, but we’ll all fit, and I can drive all of us to the safe house.”

“Then let’s not delay,” Dimitris emphasized.

“What about Arthur?” Neo inquired. “Does he have a tracker or anything that the Vile Queen can use against him or us?”

“Nope,” Loki replied hastily. “That collar was the only thing she could keep on Arthur’s flesh to track him. It’s clearly gone.”

“Then let’s—” Dimitris began, but a growling noise cut him off.

Everyone clearly tensed up, and I was on the verge of mentally praying to God himself to spare us from yet another attack.

“Oops…” Arthur began and weakly chuckled. “My bad…I’m hungry.”

Fucking hell…why is that stupidly cute?

"I have no words,” Willow confessed with a sigh. “But I’m hungry too.”

“Anything open on Christmas day while the city’s still burning?” Jayce inquired.

“Pizza?”

It seemed like a dream.

“I’ll get some delivered before we arrive,” Viktor declared, and I actually smiled while letting my eyes come to a close.

“So pizza…and group therapy? Got…it,” Arthur teased, and that made everyone else sigh in defeat.

“Shut up, Arthur,” they all groaned.

Just like that, our Forbidden Pack had expanded…

And then there were ten—nine Forbidden Kings and a Forbidden Queen to lead us toward our newfound destiny.
