A comforting touch as we danced along the floor of pleasure, waiting for that climatic note that would send us into that wondrous state of blissfulness.

“No matter what happens now, I’m not going to let go. I’m not going to give up on this flame that lights up my whole world.” It was a vow I was making to myself as I drilled into her with no remorse. “No more running away. No more half-assing. No more fucking…bullshit.”

These were the affirmations I was going to start living by. To finally push myself toward my real potential and stop getting lost in my fucking head.

“Jayce…” I knew she was close—oh so fucking close—and it only pushed me to go faster, fuck her harder, to let her emotions feel how gratifyingly perfect she was when we were together as one unit.

I love this woman with my entire being, and I won’t let the past dictate my future. I’m worthy of second chances, worthy of Willow’s love, and worthy of fulfilling all my hopes and dreams.

I. Am. Worthy.

It all came crashing down as her orgasm crashed into my senses and encouraged my own.

“Willow!” I grunted into her shoulder as I sunk so deep with the final thrust. Our energies crashed, our bodies burned, and I was lost in this sensational masterpiece that consumed every inch of my being.

The high of euphoria had never been sweeter, leaving me in a state of breathless shudders as my load shot into her, filling her up with my seed.

“Shit,” she breathed and laid her head on my shoulder as her body went limp. “How…am I going to wash up when my limbs feel like jelly?”

That amused me.

“I feel like you’ve had to ask this question before in the past,” I noted.

“I have,” she confessed. “And Onyx proceeded to mock me for not being strong enough to take his ruthless pounding.”

“I wasn’t that bad,” I reasoned and nuzzled against her neck before kissing her shoulder. “A little imprint and a good fucking.”

“That was not all you did,” she noted, which intrigued me enough to lift my tired head to look at her. She leaned back against the glass, her eyes barely open as if she really needed a power nap.

“What did I do?”

“Check where you just kissed,” she encouraged.

My brain was taking far too long to catch up to where exactly I’d just kissed, which probably was why I looked at her legs that were still hooked around my waist.

My Rebel rolled her eyes.

“My shoulder, Jayce. You just kissed it.”

“See…I was catching onto that but got distracte…,” I trailed off the moment my eyes landed on her shoulder—a second bond mark glaring back at me.

It carried the same bold line quality as the other bond marks upon her flesh, only mine created unique line art that resembled a single flame within a black circle. The background had tiny puffs of smoke and specks of embers, but what stole my breath away was what floated above the circle of flame and below it.

Above was a crown, one that glinted with gold and orange magic at my lingering gaze, matched with the single word below.

“Worthy…” I said the single word before I fought back tears.

Willow’s hands lightly ran through my wet locks as she closed the distance to give me a devouring kiss of reassurance.

“You are worthy, my Forbidden King,” she purred against my lips. “Worthy of everything you desire. Worthy of being a part of our Forbidden Pack. Worthy of being loved by me, your Rebel Flower.”

“My Forbidden Queen,” I quietly countered as a tear descended down my cheek.

“We’ll remind all those who wish for our demise how worthy we are,” she quietly vowed. “Worthy of sitting upon our thrones and controlling this city we fought to make our own foundation.”

They’ll feel our wrath, submit to our scorn, and bow down to our ruling.
