I had to thank Milo and Jayce for being at my side cause they were clearly keeping me up.

“Hmph. I hate him too,” she declared first before she got to the point. “I’m fine. I have your measurements and a head count. Wear black shoes if you have them. Only Saint should be wearing white with his attire.”
“Ruby…” I didn’t want her to leave on a such sour note, but she didn’t seem like she was in the mood.

“After the runway, what happens?” I had to know. “Like…once I make the final walk…what happens then?”
What happens to us? We still get to see each other, right? She wouldn’t just disappear now that her duty is complete…right?
It weighed heavy on me, the potential consequences of what would be inevitable.
“Well, everyone will congratulate you and you’ll get an official warm welcome into the community you’ve deserved to be in all this while.” She looked over her shoulder and gave me a beautiful smile. “And then we’ll have a lovely family dinner and you’ll get the time to talk to Mom and meet my dad in human form. Even Roberto is invited, but if they start arguing like cats and dogs, I can’t help you.”
“And you’ll be there?”
“Mhmm.” Her smile simply widened. “I’ll be there, sis. I promise.”
With that, she turned away and walked into a portal of flames.
