“Leaving already?”
I glance at my watch. We’ve been here a few hours. That's sufficient time to keep up appearance.
“Yes sir. We have some plans tonight.” Silver winks, and my father’s cheeks turn red. I didn’t even know hecouldblush; I can’t stop my mouth from gaping. She’s just flustered my father with a completely innocent response. This girl is incredible.
“Oh, well then, by all means. I’ll see you again, my dear.”
