She frowns. “Where did he go? I didn’t even notice he was gone.”
“Family thing, he’ll be back in the morning.”
“O-okay.” She sounds confused. Can’t blame her, since she fell asleep in his arms. Yeah, sue me—I may have peeked a bit, but Wells had shit to do and wasn’t answering his phone.
We finish up the sandwiches and I go wake up Arrow.
“Dude, get up. Silver made food.” I kick his thigh gently, giving him a little shake. Arrow sleeps naked, and I may bat for both teams but he’s like my brother.Do not need to see his dick.Especially at this hour.
He groans and lifts the pillow off his head, his dirty blonde hair a mess. “Bro, it’s like three in the morning. I only just got to sleep. Wells is such an asshole; we have silencing spells for a reason.”
I laugh and shake my head, but he goes on. “I mean, come on, it wasn’t even her doing that loud moaning. What the hell did she do to him?”
“I don’t know man, but Silver made something and it smells amazing. Monte... I don’t know, she told me. Let’s just have a snack and then get some sleep.”
He rolls his eyes and nods. I turn and leave the room so he can get dressed. Not that he puts much effort into it, entering the kitchen in just some low-slung pajama pants. Silver's eyes immediately go to his abs, and I feel like growling.Where did that come from?
He sits beside her and we demolish the sandwiches. “Okay. I'm a fan, these were so good,” I tell her, licking the powdered sugar from my fingers. Her eyes are drawn to my lips again, and I can’t help but smile.
“Yup, that was amazing, Silver. Thank you,” Arrow says with a yawn.
I glance at the clock. A little past four a.m. Just enough time for a nap before the day starts. Silver stands to clean up and I stop her. “Leave it. Let’s get a nap in before class. I’ll do the dishes when I wake up.”
She sighs in relief, and nods. Arrow comes up and gives her a quick hug then heads back to his room, leaving us in a strange silence.
“Sorry for waking you. Usually the guys sleep through a hurricane. I’ll learn to control my volume, and thanks for the snack.” I run my hand through my hair. Why am I feeling so damn awkward? She smiles and my breath catches. She really is beautiful.
“Thank you, Donnie. Night,” she murmurs then strolls to her room, closing the door with a soft click. I watch her ass as she goes.
Wait, did she call me Donnie?Um yeah, that isn’t going to stick.I go to follow her when a loud yawn escapes my mouth.Yeah okay, that can wait till later.
I head to my room, and Wells is sitting on my bed.
“Seriously, dude. I’ve been texting you for over an hour. Why is everyone else awake?”
I glance over to my nightstand and there sits my phone. He follows my eyes and groans, running his hand down his face.
“I’m going to bed. Talk in a few hours,” he says, then sneaks back to her room. I plop on my bed and stare at the ceiling, disappointed.Wish I could sneak into her bed. Lucky asshole.
I don’t know when it happened but Silver Forest has grown on me. I think it may be time to throw my hat in the ring.
