I give him a nod and he takes my hand.
“So where are we going?” I ask the group. Jax chuckles and Wells smiles.
“It’s a surprise, but I think you’re going to love it,” Donnie says, leading me out to a white SUV. “We’re taking my car, so we can all fit.” He opens the passenger door and helps me in. I reach over to buckle myself in, but he beats me to it, then leans in to give me a quick but passionate kiss. I’m left breathless. He pulls back with a groan and rests his forehead on mine. “I’ve been wanting to do that ever since I saw you standing there, flushed and panting.”
I lean in and kiss him again.
Someone coughs from the backseat and he pulls back.
“You really do look incredible, Princess,” he whispers, shutting my door and crossing to the driver’s side.
Wells leans up behind my seat and nuzzles into my neck, murmuring, “Me, you and him are going to have a lot of fun one of these days. Donovan likes to dominate and I can’t wait to see your ass beet red when he tops you.”
I moan softly, and he chuckles before kissing behind my ear and sitting back down. I squeeze my thighs together and wave my hands, fanning my face.These guys are going to kill me.
Donovan jumps into the driver’s seat and takes my hand, setting it on his thigh. I’m too shocked to question it, or remove it.I guess he was serious about wanting to date me.
I watch out the window as the guys chat about whatever. My mind is miles away; I talked to Anita earlier and she said some things I’m still trying to process.
“Silver, baby. I miss you. How are you doing? I can be there in a few hours if you need me?” Anita says, already choking up.
I love her, she's my only family left—but I’ve been dreading this call. I’m barely holding myself together. “I’m okay Auntie, just trying to make it through today. I have plans later to veg out and watch sad movies.”
“No Silver, you need to go out tonight. If you don’t, then you will miss your future.”
Always so cryptic.
“I’m not sure what that means, but my bed sounds like a perfect plan.”
“No baby, get out and do something tonight. I promise you won’t regret it. I have to go, sorry honey. My three o’ clock appointment is here. Call me tomorrow—I want all the details.”
She’d hung up without explaining, but now I’m wondering if it had something to do with going out with the guys.Could they be my future? All of them? NO Silver—that's crazy!
“So we have an idea to cheer you up today. We’re going to a Cirque du Soleil show with a twist,” Jax says. I spin in my seat, looking back to see his huge grin. “The magic these artists create is mind-blowing. It looks so real.” He’s practically bouncing in his seat, his green eyes gleaming with excitement.
I give him a smile and hold out my hand. He grabs it and kisses my palm, before resting it on his cheek. “Sounds amazing,” I reply, looking at each of them. “Thank you. Truly. Today has been unbearable, but spending it with you guys is just what the doctor ordered.”
Wells leans over and kisses me deeply. He goes to move his hands to my hair and I growl, “No.” He drops them, lowering his eyes.Such a good boy.
Donnie bursts out laughing beside me. I turn and raise an eyebrow. “Oh, babe... I am going to break you so good,” he purrs, then leans over to kiss me, biting my lower lip hard. I feel a sharp sting before he licks the pain away.
“Um guys, as much as I’m loving the show, the light is green now,” Jax announces, pointing out that the traffic light has changed.
Donnie doesn't move. Looking into my eyes, he mouths “Later.”
A shiver takes over my body and his eyes turn molten blue.Whoa.
Wells starts laughing in the back. I look his way and he raises his eyebrows, as if to say ‘told you.’
I sit back in my seat, willing my body to chill the hell out. I just had amazing sex with Wells.
Donnie reaches over and places his hand on my thigh, dragging my dress up slowly, slipping his fingers underneath the silky fabric. I reach down and clutch his hand, trying to stop him from going higher, and he chuckles under his breath. I look over at him, studying his body language. How at ease he seems. Such a drastic change from a few weeks ago.Did I miss something?I know we connected a bit out in the garden, but he’s acting like he wants to destroy my body and eat my soul at the same time.
“We’re here,” he says, pulling me from my examination. I look up to see we’ve arrived in a parking lot.
The guys all hop out and Wells opens my door, before reaching back in. He takes out a bouquet of flowers, handing them to me and I melt. My eyes fill with tears and I blink them away. I have already cried way too much today and my makeup is on point right now.Hold it together, Silver.
I lift the flowers to my face and breathe them in. They smell incredible. I don’t know what they are but I think I just found my new favorite flowers. I place them carefully on my seat. I'll put them in water as soon as we get back home.
Jax offers me his arm and I accept, letting him guide me inside.
Today started off as one of the worst days of my life, but thanks to these incredible guys, it’s now turning out to be one of the best.
